Best Buy are now only showing the "Cover A - CD"... hmm
Huh - sure enough... So early this morning there were 3 versions showing for both compact disc and vinyl, and they were available for pre-order. Then they took away the pre-order option. Then there was the Rolling Stone article that was published, only to be pulled a short time later. Now only one result is returned for Chinese Democracy on the Best Buy website. Something's up! I sure hope we get an announcement tomorrow!!! |

What's up with the RS link down? They don't have to pull the story? Do they? Maybe Axl will give them an interview and the inside scoop and they agreed to pull it!  I think something like this has to be the case. I agree with you that Axl couldn't force them to pull the story - and they're running a business so they wouldn't pull it just to be nice. |

"It?s a day many Guns N? Roses fans thought would never come: Chinese Democracy, the album Axl Rose has labored over for more than a decade, will finally hit stores on Sunday, November 23rd (a departure from the normal Tuesday record release day). The album will be sold exclusively in Best Buy stores and online at Bestbuy.com and iTunes. A music video is in the works, and the band ? in which Rose is the only remaining original member ? is expected to tour in 2009, according to a source close to G N? R. ?The music is well worth waiting for,? says Gary Arnold, senior entertainment officer for Best Buy, which began negotiating the deal in 2007. ?We?ve all heard the stories about this album, and now everybody gets to hear that it?s real.? The album?s 14 songs include the poppy ?Better,? the industrial rocker ?Shackler?s Revenge? (featured in the new Rock Band 2), the power ballad ?If the World? (which plays in the new film Body of Lies), the anthemic title track and a song called ?Scraped? that was previously unknown to fans. ?It?s going to be a great rock Christmas,? It would be a huge disaster if they backed out now.. I think its the contrary and an announcement is coming soon. I mean Best Buy put it on Pre Order for a brief period of time today it seems. Its coming folks. |

They can't back out the only reason it is on bestbuy at all is because the contract was signed. In the Harly case I suspect no contract was signed. I also suspect that there is some information that is not being told to anyone. I fully expect a box-set with pics, maybe a timeline for each song creation ect.
All I know is I can't wait and have my fingures crossed for a 2009 tour.
