Oh the people will love them but radio is skewered towards all thsi gay Pop/Rap shit that they may not play it cause GNR aren't necessarily format friendly.

Yes, once again, thats a great thing. Means they original.

I see where you are coming from.

You're totally on the right track, but people are really excited about GN'R.

For example, I tune into all these different radio stations in SoCal, from L.A. to San Diego.  They ALL talk about how excited they are that CD is going to be finally released.  Those same stations will give the first single and the album a big push, I guarantee it.  beer

Well it all comes down to peoples attentions spans, I think people could be ready for some more deep tunes, that give them a emotional journey so to speak. And maybe people are more attune to listening,. HEy we all know the world ins in a crisis right now, I don't think pop music, solves that,. I think that lyrically thoughtful, musically sonic, and driven, does, jmo. Wink

edit: I should add, that its a better outlet, look back to when GNR first broke and compare the times, werent so dissimilar.
i agree! i was just thinking these things, the other day!

i think now is the perfect time!!  beer

i'm not a terribly emotional person, but i seriously think i might cry, once i get CD in my hands!

Chinese Democracy has now entered the public lexicon as ?promise that never delivers?, but in November Guns N? Roses will finally drop its embattled sixth album. FasterLouder has received confirmation from Universal Music Australia that it is indeed on its way, although an exact release date has not been set.

Does anyone else think it's funny that the title to their article is "Date Set for Chinese Democracy" while the article goes on to say "...although an exact release date has not been set"?

Well, we know it's coming in November. I assume they're saying that a date has been set because of that, but they don't know the exact date (the day it's coming).

I suspect that they have an exclusive up their sleeve, mabye an interview with Axl confirming the release. If I remember correctly Rolling Stone were first to start reporting on Shacklers and the supposed Best Buy deal, it was a little odd a the time how quickly they reported the stories which were mere rumours on the message boards.

I don't know about that.  Tommy's cd was pretty great and I'm not sure it got the sales it should have.  We all seen great sales on cd's we didn't give a flying fuck about.  If you like it, that's all that matters.  That's where the story gets really good and it never ends.

Not really sure what this post means? The rock stations i listen to, dont play pop or rap? Sure, they might play a POD song, old beastie boys, but I dont ear 50 cent on it. gnr is a rock band, the music will play on the same staion you hear new motley crue, new metallica, and new acdc. Sure, some of the older songs (scom) gets played on some pop stations, but that is just because it is a classic, and pretty much everyone likes that song. You can rock to it, or dance to it. Soem people over analyze everthing about this album. I dont see AC DC  or metallica worrying about the state of todays music. Just release your type of music and it will work out!

There seems to be a lag time for news to hit Rolling Stone.

I think its just the same as all the other reports at this point stemming from the Billboard article.

If it was not true, I wonder if GN'R would make a statement to deny the reports, like they did with that reailty show rumour, or just say nothing at all?

This story is more than a shitty internet rumour, its been reported in the press across the world.

Rolling Stone has been mostly bashing GNR and Axl in recent years so if they do come looking for an exclusive interview or something, I hope Irv and Andy tell them to "FUCK OFF!!!"  Angry
