Oh, I wasn't saying they were playing any finished tracks.  I wasn't aware they had played any of the leaks previously.  I haven't listened to CCC in years since I got Sirius.  I thought maybe the played CD because of recent events.  I guess not though if they've played them before.

Heh...you and I are in largely the same boat...I don't listen very often any more either for the same reasons.  Occasionally, but not often.

But the 6 o'clock hour is the all request hour, and that's when they played it.  Picozzi's team has played the leaks...I wouldn't say frequently...but certainly on and off since the original IRS leak.

It MIGHT have something to do with all the rumors and news floating around..wouldn't doubt it..but likely that segued into a request from a listener, who requested some GnR...and they played one of the leaks.

Again, I didn't hear it...but that's my bet.

I'll shoot an email off to Picozzi and ask him.....

A DJ on Today FM just asked a question to a caller about Guns N Roses. His words were, Guns N Roses are releasing their new album next month, what song of theirs had Rain in the title? Next month?? Where'd he get that info? Has there been anything official yet?

looking back, the Dr Pepper thing was great-it's been mentioned everywhere-whomever brought this idea up is gonna get a big raise-I have to believe they never thought it would blow up this big

it was totally a joke; they included the slash and buckethead bit.. but now they're jumping on it cos its probably the best marketing idea ever. But I dont believe it was ever intended to be a marketing campaign. I actually laughed to myself when Axl made that reply comment; i thought what an idiot they were joking. Clearly they weren't!

I rkn it's definietly coming out this year, the decision would logistically need to already have beeen made; for shipping and manufacturing and production reasons! The reason the release date hasn't been confirmed (i rkn) is probably cos nov 23rd is an estimation of when it will be ready, after logistics, to put on shelves; but not definitive. Its probs their target for the whole process. But it def will be out around then IMHO. And we will get a release date when then know.

If all the rumours turns out to be true.. then i guess it could happen anytime. It would be odd if all the Mediabuzz was just
based on a silly rumour. The day i refresh the gnr site, and there is a new UPDATE on CD. I will be soo damn happy!

For anyone in the UK if you go onto teletext on channel 4 page 342 page number 1 it has quotes from the band's PR 'We're assuming that the US date (23rd Nov) means it will be out here (UK) on November 24th, but we havent had official confirmation just yet'   

Ive looked on channel 4 website but cannot see a link to the story

There is a rumor out there that a deal for the 23rd of November in the USA between BEST BUY AND GNR has been done however Universal / Geffen / Interscope has to sign off on it and management will try to get it done today so that they can make an announcement tonight or Monday.

do not know what soruces told him that mAY not be true but well see later on

Their entertainment magazine is secondary, and they do not run with false information. Further more are not going to release any information with out confirmation from Best Buy and representatives of GNR's Management.

I was thinking that since some of the media is basically asleep during the weekend that they might miss the initial hype... sort of. I'm not sure.
