but the question is, would you receive a bigger profit if you release it around christmas  simultaneously everwhere in the world,
where sales everywhere around the world are the biggest all year, thus cashing in on a mass scale,
and getting more "bang for your buck" as everyone would be out buying it, instead of downloading the whole cd before christmas/ just releasing it in november25
where its really only america that see this as a thanksgiving/shopping holiday...

If they are smart, not a lot. Best buy can foot the bill, and include a voucher for a free drink in their mailings. Anybody who wants a free can has to go to Best Buy, possibly buy CD, and probably buy a ton of other things too

I hope we see a dvd included in the package with proshot footage from the 06/07 tours. I can't see how anyone could stay away from a GnR concert having seen the sort of show they continue to put on.

They were supposedly filming the Hammerstein shows for a DVD.  I'd LOVE to see those shows included in any bonus material.

From what I am hearing now, Chinese Democracy is still a three disc set, consisting of the following:

a) a CD containing the new material

b) a CD or DVD (not sure which) with live performances

c) a DVD of behind the scenes footage

so techinically, yeah, it's three discs, but only one with new music

and all signs point to November 25th

I was just listening to the 2006 trunk interview and I heard something interesting.

when they are talking to Axl about how he lived in China for a while, someone asks him what it was like, and Axl starts a sentence  " Well we filmed....."

then he cuts himself off as if he caught himself giving too much information. maybe that footage will surface somewhere if this thing is in fact more than one disc.
