How many of you who are reading this and are located in the US read those weekly ads Best Buy sends out?

As far as I know, they are a big deal. Lots of people check them out...

Are those the same ads that they have on the website (you need to give a postal code to see it)?

Here is the link to Best Buy...the "Weekly Ad" is in the upper left corner.  You need to add a zip code (Los Angeles 90021) and you can see the ads.

I did a search and there is nothing yet, that I can see.

I doubt anything will be in the weekly ad until it is released. Probably will be prominently featured in the Black Friday ad, assuming the 11/25 date. Those ads are normally made weeks ahead of time, stores get them in about a week ahead of time, and people get them in the newspaper between wed and sun.

There's no doubt that I think CD will be out this year.

Check out this link for releases that also occur on the 25th... there is literally nothing coming out that day. Tons of releases on the 18th and before. Britney Spears on Dec. 2... nobody wants to go up against Britney's new album. So maybe the 25th could be the day.

Last album from Britney went up against The Eagles and she had no chance.

Got exited from all the news the past days, seems only a matter of time/days before the official statement will come. billboard follows the same route as they did reporting on The Eagles exclusive deal and AC/Dc (both with Azoff's input). They've been tipped off for weeks now.

Not sure if it's been brought up...but does anyone think that the fact U2 bumped their November release date to next year has helped make the decision to release CD in November (assuming that it does, in fact, get released in November)?

I didn't even notice the 'Anticipated Future Releases' list when I first looked at that site... so you're probably right.

I just really doubt that even a majority of that list will actually have albums released this year. But the dates before Christmas will definitely fill up more.

Should we really be expecting something official as early as Monday?? I also agree that we won't hear anything "Official" about this that early. This is Guns N' Roses we're talking about here, it could be a week or two before we hear anything. I'm not saying that Monday wouldn't be nice, but you know...

I was informed last Saturday night at Best Buy HQ in Minneapolis that they would be "getting it first". The implication was that other outlets would have it shortly afterwards, whenever the exclusive contract would expire. I wasn't given a date on either the release date or the exclusivity expiration date, but it was solid information.
