Well that RAM is still in my computer, as I said I'm running it now, just looking to make improvements to it and make it better for the future.

THIS CASE but was thinking about possibly moving to
THIS NEW CASE. That doesn't include a power supply though, which would cost me a bunch more.
Not a definite but just some ideas going through my head of what to and what not to improve upon.
If you are keeping the RAM, you can't go for that motherboard and processor. You will have to stick with the Q9650 or Q8xxx series of processors or
go for an AMD platform which has the nice feature that the CPU can run with either DDR2 or DDR3. It's better to get a good 600W-800W power supply
which will be able to handle all your future cards and other peripherals.
I still say if you are going to spend so much upgrading your system, it would be better to sell your existing DDR2 RAM and get a new platform
with DDR3. A good DDR3 4GB dual kit will cost you less than $70.
