"Ain't It Fun"

I would say that If the World is definitely the most successful song in that GNR has truly conquered new musical terrain with it.
I usually picture the ending of "Fight Club" with this song with all the skyscrapers being blown up and the simultaneous love-making.

It could very well be the sexiest GNR song ever made alongside Rocket Queen.

When I first heard the demo leak back in June, I remember for the first 30 seconds or so I was truly confused and frightened from the flamenco guitar. It grew fast though, and the finished version has a lot of power. Axl sounds like he did in 1991 again.

Love the song!
The first time I went through the album, I said to myself, that this is the only song, that has some kind of the mystery in it. I think that in many songs on this album, the flirtation with electronic sound didn't go to well. But this one fuckin rocks. It's fresh, it's crazy, it's very eclectic, but not overwhelmed by too many forms. Great, what can I say.
The only flaws here, are... someone said about high voice on the begining. I liked it myself, but the sound of the voice could be different, like stronger maybe, wider. The other thing is to many glissandos.

Cheers

I think ITW would be a great set closer leading to an encore of CD, Sorry and PC..
The lighting  could be flashes of white and purple lights to reopesent some sought of storm or mayham....
After ITW ends the stage could go black w/ GN'R flashing like the UYI tour..
Than after a few min. the intro and movie, that they did on the last tour , for CD could start up..After CD I think Sorry would be great...It's a bit slower and could give Axl a bit of a rest before PC..Everything from the tempo and the positive outlook of the song make PC the perfect closer.

Does anyone else cringe when they hear the second verse?  I don't think lyrically it's quite up-to-snuff with what Axl can do, but musically the song rules ass.

It's really not that hard to do live. The sound tech will need to pull the bottoms out then pan the master for left and right front of house. Might be an easier way but that is how I've done things like that in the past.
It would give it a close enough sound i think.

Just not a fan of the constant repitition of the word "love", I think everything else about this song is great, but if you really listen, the second verse is so basic it could be a pop song from the '90's.  It sounds, to me, like Axl singing to Beta because it's "you're the only one I have ever loved that has ever loved me", but if this is a testament to his apprecitation and love for Beta, he could have hit us with something more powerful and real.  This is also my problem with "This I Love", if this is as deep of a song as Axl means it to be, he should have gone for something that isn't as basic.

Just sayin', lyrically it can be kind of drag... now bring on the arguments.

Or what if he was alone singing to the mirror  Shocked would it still sound basic to you?
