this song has grown on me so FAST.  pittman justifies his importance to the band in this song ALONE.  what he does for GNR is great.  buckethead's spanish acoustic guitar is amazing, blended with a slow, heavy metal riff.  the vocals remind me of almost something ESTRANGED.  anyone agree?

At first I thought it was too much like Frank Sinatra, but after a few listens it really grew on me and now I love the song. Very beautiful...

When I first her the short clip at the end of Body Of Lies, I wasn't sure about it. But after listening to it several times on the album it's definitely a catchy song for me.

I think I would REALLY like this song even more if Axl didn't go so high when he sings "If The World..."

I have a hard time listening and getting into that voice.

Anybody else?

Thank you!   I was wondering if I was the only one who thought this song would have made a GREAT Bond theme.

Have you noticed in the CD booklet on the "If The World" page,

behind Chris is an eye!  Wink (Aye!)  You have to turn the booklet on its side to see it rightly.

Maybe it goes with the line - "I never knew the way that you looked at me.."

The 1st few listens ITW didn't grab me..I felt it was a bit artsie..But I think that is the point of CD..Differant styles..If it would have been AFD sounding all the way through there would have been no point w/ the new lineup(s). Now ITW is one of my favorites..
I think it would be a great set closer leading to the the encore..
