What do you think Del means when he answered we'd have to wait and see what song it was? "a lot can happen between now and then".  Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but is he saying the song may change between now and then?  He's/They're not sure what song will be in the movie?  Or a lot MORE can happen between now and then?  I hope the latter.

It could be Gn'r saying what song is going to be included or Gn'r releasing whichever song is in this movie as a single.

I would take that as meaning that there is a plan but all the details are not definite yet, which is why it hasn't been officially announced.
