Yeah that movie was awesome. I still play the soundtrack occasionally  Cool. Simpsons Movie was also good a lot of references to the past episodes and was way funnier than an average episodes from last seasons have been.

I liked The Simpsons movie. The quality doesn't match some of the earlier seasons. Its seemed it matched the best bits in the last 8 seasons or so. The Simpsons overall have not been that good the last 8 years or so but there were occasional great bits that were just hysterical. And the movie seemed to be in the same league as those bits, just not nearly as good as the earlier stuff.  smoking

Really?  I've enjoyed a lot of new Family Guy episodes, but I thought last night's episode was brutal. 

Sometimes I think they write an episode and then fill it up to the appropriate 20 minutes by extending the jokes that are supposed to be funny via repetition. 

"Hey, we've only got 17 minutes of a show here!"
"So, let's make Peter sing 'Bird is the word' another 20 times!"

If the bit is funny I can stand it, last night I wanted to switch off in the middle.  I'm going to watch the new Simpsons episode now, I suspect they will be superior two weeks in a row.

I've been watching this show pretty much every night and gotta say--I think this one takes the prize. The Simpsons in its prime was funny, but never as funny as Family Guy, same goes for SP.
