Is there any more new info in the last 6 pages?

I suggest reading this to get a bit of background on the legal side of the thing: http://blog.wired.com/music/2008/08/guns-n-roses-le.html

I find it funny to watch people standing up for this guy.

1) He broke the law.
2) He stole from, a lot of your's, favourite band.

He stole from your favourite band.

Boohoo, a lot of you have been waiting for the album a long time, but it's not yours.
Why the fuck should you, or a thief that runs a music blog, get to determine when you can listen to it?

Ulitmately this is gonna be a positive and a negative for GnR.  Postive is that it brings up the words Guns N' Roses and Chinese Democracy to the newswire, the negative is the fact that their music they worked on over the last 10 years, was stolen and posted on the internet not finished and I believe we weren't gonna half to wait that much longer for this CD.  In all there was 9 tracks leaked and its up to the person who leaked those to face the music.

?As a result of illegally sharing tracks from the unreleased Guns N' Roses album ?Chinese Democracy?, Dr Pepper is officially excluding blogger Kevin Cogil from our promotion that has promised to deliver every American a free can of soda if the album arrives any time in 2008.   Like the rest of the world, Dr Pepper is anxiously awaiting new material from Axl, but a masterpiece like this should only be heard when fully complete, not as leaked, unfinished demos.  It?s like drinking Dr Pepper before all 23 flavors are added, it?s just wrong.  This decision means only three Americans will not receive a Dr Pepper - Kevin Cogil, Slash and Buckethead.   Sorry, guys.?

HAHA!! That's beautiful. It really is.

Although, irony would be if this guy got the death penalty, and for his last meal, asked for a Dr. Pepper. Could they block that legally?

Now, how did you find that little nugget?

What these people forget is the fact that this guy's actions gave a lot of people the chance to listen to these songs for the first time, for free....

The band and/or record company had no control over how their music/product should be heard or when.

And what if monkey's flew out of my ass smoking cigars.

Would that make me related somehow to Monica Lewinsky?

Now Jarmo made a funny. Don't interrupt.

One thing that I haven't seen anybody talk about yet is the issue of these songs being copyrighted.  I've checked riaa.com, ascap.org, copyright.gov and I haven't seen any of the new GNR songs listed as being copyrighted or anything like that.  I'm not a lawyer, so maybe someone who is more knowledgeable then me will have to chime in, but if the songs are not officially copyrighted or protected then is it still illegal to post them?

And i belive that is an important way in the marketing and promotion of the record, when all that stuff starts.. That the band is the one who decides what they think should be heard first, and in which way they want to present it. I really hope that this havent spoild too much for people...

I'm pretty sure that the record company knows what they're doing....

They're the ones who are going to release the album. So it's their product that was stolen so to speak.

See. This is where the lies start. The terrible, terrible lies. Axl offered to share, in his infinite wisdom.

Nope.

Why would I want to ruin something I've been looking forward to for ages?

It's like looking forward to a movie and buying a DVD of it, filmed in the cinema.
