 filmmakers Elvis Mitchell, a former New York Times writer, and Timothy Greenfield-Sanders.

 The documentary features interviews with prominent African-Americans including Al Sharpton, former Temple women's basketball coach Dawn Staley, Slash of Guns N' Roses/Velvet Revolver, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Toni Morrison, Colin Powell, Chris Rock, Keenan Ivory Wayans and Serena Williams. It premieres at 8 p.m. Aug. 25 on HBO.

Wow, Slash doesn't seem like he would hang out with the Al Sharpton's of the world.  I noticed he is the only mixed race on that list...

Hell yeah Sharpton's a total idiot. Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are nothing but media whores. I really think that Slash has more sense then they do.
