I purchased approx 6 yrs ago a vinyl record which contains GN'R and Motley Crue jamming/joking together in a studio.
Does anyone else have this and give me any information? Its in a plain sleeve.

Reason being, I am preparing a big Ebay sale of duplicate copies / unwanted copies of GN'R material. I figured this would be quite rare....

Because a certain part of the vinyl has been used on various GN'R demo's.
Changing the words of Nightrain from: Got a rattlesnake suitcaseUnder my arm to: Got an elephants dick under my arm.... You may have heard it?

When I bought the Vinyl, I was told it had come directly from the studio.

Interseting? It could be? I guess I always thought it was GN'R jamming with their drunken buddies like Del James or West Arkeen?
I'ved only heard that one song though. Or are you refering to the  acoustic version of "Move to the City"?

Ive got a bootleg GNR cd that has those lyrics on.   Its on my Unwanted Illusions boot.

On the boot it's called Booze Party and it's says it's from Unreleased rare recordings from 1987/88.

The lyrics at the start go:    Im a West Coast monkey, an East Coast Junkie, got an elephant dick under my arm.  They then play the Move to the City riff and someone yells out whiskey during it.  It only goes for about a minute then fades out.  Maybe your vinyl has the full song??

I have a version that does the full song. Bit of banter at the end too. Its on a different bootleg from the Unwanted Illusions Smiley

Does the OP have any more than that on his vinyl?? Cos I would pay for that Smiley

Actually, is this what you have??? -

Guns 'n' Roses - Second Take Demos

VENUE: Studio, various unknown dates
QUALITY: Varies, A+ to B-
SOURCE: Bootleg LPs "Second Take Demos" issued by Foulmouth Records (cat. no. Foulmouth 001)

Quote
The LPs give no information as to their source or original recording dates but I am as certain as I can be that they are mastered from analog cassette tapes - there is some tape dropout evident in several places (most notably during Welcome To The Jungle, including a rather nasty "bump" near the satrt of this track) but this is on the LPs and is NOT an artefact of my transfer. The tracklisting contains numbers from the Appetite For Destruction and Use Your Illusion albums, suggesting this compilation is produced from recordings made on many different dates. The record covers are included, sourced from photos rather than scans as the covers are too big for my scanner.

TRACKLISTING (as on the original LPs)

Record 1, side 1:

01. The Garden
02. Don't Cry
03. Yesterdaze [sic] (WEST ARKEEN AND AXL)
04. Sentimental Movie

Record 1, side 2:

05. Bad Obsession (IZZY VOCALS)
06. Crash Diet
07. Anything Goes
08. Bring It Back Home

Record 2, side 1:

09. Back Off Bitch
10. Heartbreak Hotel (INSTRUMENTAL)
11. Move To The City  *This contains the rapping*

Record 2, side 2:

12. Too Much Too Soon
13. Just Another Sunday
14. Welcome To The Jungle

The vinyl simply consists of jamming and the lyrics I posted earlier. I will post a pic tomorrow. I need to get it out of storage.
It may be nothing, but someone went to alot of trouble to put it on vinyl if it wasnt important. Like I explained, I was told it came directly from the studio. It may be del or wes on the record. I was told it was members of Motley Crue??

Hopefully the picture will shed some light on the item.
