that depends on the clothes.  a big cross wouldn't be a better match with the white tee.

the tee shirt is also cool.
can't make out what pendant from the pic. maybe it's a mini tambourine?

It is either a Hindu or Islamic prayer medallion.
I can't really tell, as the only way is identifying whether there is sanskrit around the edges.
My guess is Hindu as his whole idea and concept around this time is based heavily on it.

Not much to do with his look at any given moment.
The ideas he has expressed and the words he has used in passing all owe a large amount to eastern mystical thought.
Most of the concepts and phrases he has used directly relate to the Bhagavad Gita, and portions of western mysticism, but mainly Sufi ideology from the likes of Masters such as Hazrat Inayat Khan and Hafiz.

you said his whole idea and concept around the time was based on it so I thought that would include his clothing style of the time.
