Singin' tu-lur-a-lei-oh...

« on: July 15, 2008, 06:23:35 PM »

Single songs. You know. Not The Who at Leeds n' all that. Videos.
Coherance is out the window tonight. Sorry about that.

Anyway, I'll kick it off, and since it's festival season, here's a couple of my wish I was there videos,

Radiohead, Karma Police

Levellers, One Way

No Glastonbury bias, really. In all honesty you probably couldn't have paid me to attend this year. They just both are because they are.

Anyway, I know that we've had this thread before. But I couldn't find it. So... There.

Oh, and I didn't mean songs that were released as singles. I meant songs in isolation... But you got that, right?

Now that's hilarious hihi

Couple of my fav's:

Blind Melon - Galaxie
Just see how fucked up Shannon was, but also how amazing singer/performer he was:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=tZt-v5pVdJc

Blind Melon - Soup
Same as above.. and the song is amazing, especially the "outro":
http://youtube.com/watch?v=gXBjdAj1SUg&feature=related

Aerosmith - Dream On
Simply amazing song and even greater performance, plus I love the camera work here:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=VxRYv4OafCk

Hanoi Rocks - Blitzkrieg Bop
Hanoi covering this classic song and the crowd going fucking nuts and jumping on-stage Grin It's also Mike Monroe on drums and Razzle on vocals! This is great:

Marilyn Manson performing My Monkey on the 1995 Smells Like Children tour was pure bliss.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIj9o-YlzVI

I wish they had remained this way but times change and so does his persona and music - I still love him a lot regardless.

P.S. Manson's my favorite band, sharing the spot with Nine Inch Nails - I couldn't ever choose which is better.

Someone already posted the Cult doing Sanctuary.

But i love this 1999 Free Tibet live version. The band hadnt played together for a long time. And Ian totally  gets into it, and his voice sounds great on it!!! No skipping lyrics, not getting out of breathe, no lazyness. Its all done properly, just awesome!
