I find this to be the song everyone loves to death or hates it from existing.
I like it.
did robin get songwriting credits for this one, or not? he did on the rock band version, but i heard he is not on the cd credits for shackler? any truth to that?

I'd almost say that Shackler's Revenge is tied right now with Chinese Democracy as being my second favorite song off the album.
I was not a fan at all of Shackler's Revenge when I first heard the mix from the Rock Band 2 sample. Although hearing it now on the album really grabbed me and I took a liking for it very quickly.

The most overlooked song on the album.
Awesome rocker with a lot of balls.
Like IRS it gets you out of your chair!
I saw a comparison to Paradise City and Nightrain, and I think that's a fair comparison, as it will get people up and mosh at the concerts for sure!

Well said except for the "mosh" comment. Moshing is so 1990's.
I wish fans would stop acting so immature and stop doing that garbage.

I think this is absolutely the most underrated song on the album. I absolutely love this song and I think it's the best true rocker on the album.

I've never moshed myself, but some people still do
What I'm saying is the song is fucking irresistable and I don't know why it doesn't get more love from the fans.
Everytime I hear the "I don't believe there's a reason" hook I feel like fucking jumping out of my seat!

I don't know whether this has been posted before, but:
Brosius stated that the inclusion of Guns N' Roses' "Shackler's Revenge" was due to the team knowing they wanted a Guns N' Roses song, then determining that they wanted one off the "mysterious" Chinese Democracy album; Axl Rose helped the team to select the specific song.

It does make me wanna get up and move too. It's got a good fast beat. I also get that feeling of jumping out of my seat when I hear "I don't believe there's a reason."

Shackler's Revenge is one of the best songs on CD.
This Buckethead song has awesome Axl demon voice, and its hi-pitch Axl screams all the way.
Contrary to some who think the lyrics are below average, I like these lyrics. Its like Out Ta Get Me, except it involves Shackles. Very simplfied lyircs, yet they pack a punch.
Of all the songs, its the best one to wake up to in the morning to go kick some ass.

Yeah, I think its one of the best on the album also. I think it would've been a better first single than CD.

The chorus is what definitely won me over for this song.

The pre-chorus, chorus and solo are all awesome on this song, and its shortness and simplicity is a nice counterbalance to the more complex songs on the album

This song rocks like crazy. The chorus is what absolutely makes it for me. Those guitars get me so amped. I always blast this when it comes on in my car.

This song grew on me a lot after a few listens. I especially like the use of the high-hat in some of the drum segments.

The vocals on it are excellent. Some of the harmonies are almost beach boys'esque but they fucking rock.
