Nothing's been confirmed, but most believe Bumblefoot plays the solo at the end.  I think Buckethead plays most of the parts the first half of the song and while I don't hear much of Robin some people say he has some rhythm parts.  Brain plays drums, I would imagine since he co-wrote the song.

Exactly. The riff is played either by BBF or BH, the hard rock rhythm on the chorus is probably BBF, and I can hear Robin's rhythm as well - in the right channel. The solo is BBF and most likely the shredding on the last chorus. Tommy plays the bass and Brain plays the drums probably. I can hear Bucket (?) on the chorus as well. The last lick is played by Robin or Bucket, probably.

Fuck Man is this progressive or what? This is a monster track, if the unreased stuff is like this then a whole new army of fans are gonna buy it. I sneaked it onto my mac via youtube whilst my daughter was in my office, whilst playing from my iTunes liberary. She didn't know who it was but was blown away by the track. When I told her, she couldn't believe it, now she can't stop playing it, having converted the youtube track to audio. I'm not complaining   love

PS she says it reminds her of Ramstien (sp?)

We (my wife and I) played it through about 8 or 9 times yesterday. I did a couple passes at vocals, and so did she...but mostly playing bass and guitar.

The last bit of the solo is a BITCH to play, for me.

Love the song, though.  Perfect "fit" for RB.  I agree, I'm more partial to some of the other material we've heard, but I don't think it would have fit the game as well.

We don't have the drum kit (OH, and for anyone who cares, we discovered that the PS3 microphone from RB1 works just fine with RB2 on the Xbox360!) and won't until the PS3 version comes out....but I can't wait to play it on drums!

I can't wait for i-tunes/rhapsody download of Shackler or, hopefully, the whole CD!  How about a shred of news 'Gunsnroses.com'?  Gn'R officially released song is out there, and the band has nothing to say about it???  Looking more and more like this was NOT part of a clever marketing plan.  Oh, well, just have to play Shackler's over and over! yes

Yeah, i read that too. But no truth in it at all. if there was truth in it, it would be announced on gnr.com or something that would make it official.

It would have been kinda kind of GNR, if they had opted to provide the fanbase  some rational legal way of getting the 1st new GNR song in 10 years when it's released.
