The new Entertainment Weekly (#1009) has a story on Rock Band vs. Guitar Hero w/ a picture of Axl in a montage of musicians and the text says this:

"Guns N' Roses say they will offer a single off Chinese Democracy exclusively through Rock Band, taking a cue from Motley Crue, whose latest single sold five times better as a Rock Band download than on iTunes."

"Guns N' Roses say they will offer a single off Chinese Democracy exclusively through Rock Band, taking a cue from Motley Crue, whose latest single sold five times better as a Rock Band download than on iTunes."

Wow just imagine !! GnR is ten times more popular than Motley Crue.  Im sure they could do better with I-Tunes too but that ain't the point, the way to go today is releasing music on video games like Rockband.

A point of clarification: Rock Band download is just that - a song downloaded to be played on Rock Band. It's not an audio file. The Cr?e tune was Downloadable Content - essentially expansion content for the core game. Shackler's will be included on the Rock Band 2 disc: no download required. If a Shackler's single (in strictly audio format) is made available via download, it'll be through some other service (like iTunes), unrelated to Rock Band.

yea but the poster was replying to a question if nobody has heard the actual song in the game. So naturally people think of the song in the actual game not of youtube quality.

and I believe the game has  the jukebox mode in which you can listen to the songs in proper mix.
