and I know downloading mofos couldn't keep themselves from not really giving 2 shits about the leaker. and I believe harmonix guys are not sloppy.

Some acquaintences at a magazine are expecting their review copy of RB2 THIS WEEK..! I'm not getting my hopes up... there is no confirmation that the song will actually be in this build... buuuut..... could be!

Oh I'm the same way, but I'll purchase it as well. I have RB2 on pre-order anyway, but I'll still pay for a SR single if I get the chance.

Does Rock Band feature the real songs or cover versions of rock songs?  Meaning...are we likely to hear the real Shackler's Revenge...or a cover of it?  And what's the name of the song in the javascript on the rockband homepage?

I think the days of covering songs in order to have them on major video games are over.

No one would debut a song at really isn't.... their song.......buy yeah, both Rock Band and Guitar Hero have made so much freakin money, they can now afford to use all master tracks......I stll remember playing Guitar Hero 1 and thinking something just wasn't quite right.

All of the 84 songs in Rock Band 2 are the licensed master tracks.

It's best for the artist to liscense these tracks since the music industry is in the shitter.  Im sure  some of you guys all know that though.

I was at a Toys R US Store...yesterday, shopping with my 3 yr old nephew and my sis and bro in law.. I wandered into the electronics, section (vid games etc), and asked a simple question, "do you guys have a release date for Rock band2, and was told they had a date, but is not till NOV".. I didn't even mention GNR, I only added that I thought I read X-box, would have it out in Sept early Oct, and was only told "what we have is it it for NOV,but not secure date".. so its not often I ask about vid games, so maybe others can look into this more?

just because they don't know the date yet may be for a number of reasons e.g. failed to read a memo or something.  Or could be that they just don't want to get customers hopes up in the case of a delay.

well to be honest it would not surprise me if this game is delayed however it probably would not be anything to do with gnr which some people on this forum would think if that was the case.
