Ron is a master guitarist, why would he not be capable of playing this song?
Agreed. I don't get why people think Ron can't handle BH duties.
I don't mean to take anything away from Bumblefoot, he is an extremely talented player in his own right and seems like a really nice guy but his rendition of the TWAT solo in particular just didn't hold up to the original, watch the Hammerstein video.
I was standing about 20 feet away from him when he did it and it sounded just fine to me.

perhaps 8/8th to ride the wave of the c/olympis hype and publicity,
Yeah I heard the same rumor you're re-posting.
I haven't heard the rumour. hope it doesn't originate from me...

so, there's 3 totally different tunes/ musical pieces, and not just 2 in 'shackler' connection.
and, the basic song structure of gnr's shackler's revenge was still written by Bucket and Brain?
Yes.
Good. thanks.

No. It came from MSL.

MSL isn't an insider.
Also, why would the band release something when the whole world is watching the Olympics? I mean, wouldn't that be eclipsed?

Exactly, how can you ride a wave formed by something completely unrelated, that will keep the cable news networks and major publications occupied?
I supposed you have the Chinese connection, but I agree with Voodoo, it'd be eclipsed, if not ignored.

Even the google tags and hits for Chinese would link to any Olympic news rather than Guns N' Roses.

Umm, no one really watches the Olympics anymore.... It's largely dwindled in the past decade, especially with all the steroid scandals.....

I'm sure a worldwide event is still bigger than a rock band.
Anyways, concerns me one thing: its ok to play a track in Rock Band without knowing it previously. But it would be really hard to actually sing it, tho.
I think we'll get to listen to the song before the game's release.

^ NO disrespect, but you do know that mat Hammerstein he had only 2 weeks to rehersh all the tunes with the band, now come on.......Your statement is a bit harsh there. And thre is no diffintivce origional ..lol all we had was demos.
ONE week only, not two weeks.

U know dude, u are onto something. It is damn hard to play/sing a song u have never heard.......... makes me think the single will come out before. It definitely makes sense.

Oh don't get me wrong, I was saying MSL is an insider. I don't even know how much stock to put into the rumor. I was just pointing out the source instead of letting someone post it as if it were their idea.

sorry but you took that completely out of context,
everyone knows about the rumoured 8/8/08 supposed rumour to coincide with the olympics,
and yes I did bring it up, but in no way did I insinuate that I came up with the date...
god... some people aroundh here need to sit tight and relax,
What I was saying though, how much I was looking forward to august, as their is going to be a sh!t load of hype build up
in the release of the SHACK!

Is it a rumour or someones idea (=wishful thinking)? If it's a rumour it can't be MSL guy's idea or gunns is it?
Guess I should have tmed the idea a few years ago.

You "I'm looking forward to August. I think..." then you stated the rumor MSL has posted on a few forums. How did I take that out of context?

Believe me the whole world is not watching the Olympics. I could care less about that subject.

Why does it seem that Guns N' Roses attracts fans with learning disabilities and mental disorders?
Either way, reading isn't that difficult folks.
I'm with russtcb, the hype is going to be awesome. August will be an exciting month, even moreso than July methinks.
