The band are hoping to have 'Shackler's Revenge' as their first single and they are also hoping to have the new album out this year. I know this falls in the 'vague' category but is all I can give right now. Nonetheless, we have seen Shackler confirmed today as a new song for a very big game. It is big news for the band and it is good to see some old faces returning to the board. Enjoy the moment  I just hope they are planning to release Rock Band 2 on the ZX Spectrum, and for the Commodore Amiga for Jarmo  there ya go.  |

Two months? I waited for years but I can't wait for two months  . I want it now! Haha, yes I share your excitement. Rock Band 2 has been dated for September 14th. Roughly 2 months from today. We've ran 26 miles, but the .4 are killing us all.  Not to be technical but a marathon is 26.2 but yeah, this last 2 months is gonna be SLOW time. Oh well, at least we all have one another to pass the time. All these years of sheep jokes and Sophomoric Humor have been worth it!'' I have honestly loved the wait for the most part and the payoff is gonna be unreal! |

Yeah but this has been more of a 100 mile ultra marathon
but it doesnt even matter. I would wait 10 more years as long as the album we are getting is the album Axl is 100 percent happy with.

does anyone know if there'll be downoadable content for the wii? (cos I got a feeling RB2 will not be limited to Shackler) I have a wii and don't really want to have to shell out for xbox 360! I know there isn't DLC for GH3 and the existing RB on wii which is shitty! |

I doubt it. The Wii does not have a hard-drive, so it makes that issue very difficult. There is only flash memory.

I think it would be safe to say that this will be the first single, as we have already heard from the gnr camp that its definetly going to be on chinese, and its going to be in a rock game come sept, so it seems like a smart move make it the first single, however its unconfirmed at this stage, *cough* MYSTERON? |

Just got this from gamestop. I'm not sure if it was posted yet or not.
In addition to the new set list, check our Rock Band 2 product pages for a video trailer, as well. Xbox 360 owners will get the first crack at Rock Band 2 when the stand-alone game releases September 14, with the Special Edition Bundle following on October 19. PS3 owners will get their chance with both the game and the bundle on October 19. Wii and PS2 owners will have to wait until November 18. Pre-order online now or reserve at your local GameStop.
