They just had a demo of the game on G4.

No sign of Shackler's being played (at least that I saw....).

Your jumping to conclusions. No where in any of the Rock Band 2 announcements did it say that the song was exclusive to the game. If it is indeed the lead single, they want people to hear the song and thus be interested in the band and buy the album. Having the song in this game is a great way to drive single sales and promote interest in the band.

For us hardcore fans, we'll be able to hear it as well. Mysteron said we will hear more from himself or Guns in the future about this matter.

Oh I'm sorry, I was just answering an earlier post asking a question about the song.

I didn't mean that I felt the track was exclusive to the game, just that it would be unthinkable for that to happen and that it would be out for general listening as well.

He will want RB2, but I'll be the one playing it for the GN'R song.

I'm sure the song will surface at some point before the game comes out, whether it is the full song or a clip.
Isn't the song being released to radio as well separately at the same time though?

Love the opening page to the site now, good call.  This came way out of left field, not only that it'd be in Rock Band 2, but the song itself.  I was expecting something like Better or one of the other leaks, but this is a completely new song.  I hope we don't have to wait that long until we can hear it.

Look at "Steve's" comment right below the alleged comment that has heard the song. His post is just as credible as the one before it.

Incase you didn't notice, Mysteron is not online right now. Just because you yell in the middle of the woods doesn't mean that someone will hear you.

He said a couple pages back that it is the PLAN to have "Shackler's Revenge" as the single.

this is great. i don't own or plan on owning rock band any time soon, but i've gotten calls from my friends telling me about the announcement because they know what a huge fan i am. i'm STOKED! playing the first game, i've noticed that in a group of friends who frequently play the game, every person has a different song that's THEIR song.. it makes me extremely happy that gnr (especially new gnr) is finally making it to the rock band games.

i hope i'm not hoping for much, but maybe the single comes out around september and we get a holiday release of CD itself?

what i really need to know though is... how well does dr. pepper mix with whiskey?
