And for anyone with the G4 channel on their cable system, they will be airing live E3 coverage from about noon EST all day long with another concise recap tonight. I'm reasonably sure Rock Band 2 (and hopefully some big GNR news) will be featured.

That's why I asked whether it was coming from GN'R or from MTV/ Harmonix/ EA. Wink Since Mysteron said it would be from MTV & co (thanks for the info), I'm guessing the content of the press release will be focused on Rock Band 2 itself and the fact that they have an exclusive GN'R song. I doubt there will be details about the album.

Mysteron, will Shacklers Revenge be the first single or will this be kind of like how OMG was handled? "Song that fits a game, right time, perfect oppurtunity" type thing?

I doubt we will get any album news today. At the most it will be CD in the fall. But no dates. What Im looking for is Im hoping the press release says that the game will have the first GNR single. I think that is critical. In the grand scheme of things I think we all want this to be the first single. We dont want this to be like OMG(not the song but the way and reason why it was released}

well looks like I will be buying an Xbox360 afterall since I don't want to buy the game for Wii and have features taken from the game and still pay the same price as the one for 360. Surprisingly this has made my mind up between Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band 2. lol  ok

although what i really want to know is if we will get a glimpse of this song today or soon....I dont want to wait until september!!
