As with all rumors about songs that may or may not be coming to Rock Band at some point in the future, it?s pretty safe to assume that nothing is official until you hear an announcement from us at Harmonix.  All major announcements concerning bands joining the Rock Band set list can be found at Rockband.com.

 

And while we haven?t announced any plans at this time to bring Guns N? Just wanted to share my Axl Rose avitar from Rockband1  hope you all like it.  I wish you could do more with the tats but sadly there is no cross or way to make a decent looking one (that I could figure out)

It doesn't say that at all.

TRUE = they haven't announced plans at this time.  It's a RUMOUR.

TRUE = I have to take this at face value - by their own admission they have not ruled out GNR.

I know it takes a little effort to interpret the text, but it's NOT saying that it's all a scam etc.   It says what it says.

No. Apparently a song named "Shackler" was on one of the BH DVDs, but this song is a sequel I guess.

No. It wasn't. B scored a film of the same name. Said film was never released.

Has anyone thought of the possibility that someone knows that there's a GnR track called Shackler's Revenge, and because it hasn't leaked yet or anything, they've decided to "advertise" it like this? Maybe the song does exist, but it's just not gonna be in RB.

Or maybe they want to keep it a secret until the game's song list is announced.

if mysteron says it's a gnr song, it is. and the latter is more likely.

I think they might factor the average person's singing ability into the song selection for the songs that are on the disc. Is that more important than marketability? probably not....

This could just be a CYA on the leak - I would guess, if Guns agreed to release the song to Harmonix/EA/MTV, both parties would have signed NDAs and agreed to remain silent until the formal announcement at E3. And, no, even if the whole 80-song list was 100% correct, I don't think Harmonix would admit it. Pretty standard for the games industry (and most industries, actually)... it was just a couple years ago that Sony issued a statement that there were "no plans for a price drop on the PS2" literally days before E3... where they announced a price drop on the PS2.

One thing this statement is not is a straight denial.

Having spent some time trying to recreate real people in Rock Band myself, I can say, this is a pretty good job, dude. It's not the most flexible character builder. You did really well with the content available.
