Get ready for "Shackler's Revenge." The track from the upcoming Guns N' Roses album Chinese Democracy will appear on the video game Rock Band 2, slated for release for the Xbox 360 platform in September.

The news was announced Monday morning by Harmonix president and CEO Alex Rigopulos at Microsoft?s press conference at E3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. In addition to "Shackler?s Revenge," Rock Band 2 will feature songs by Bob Dylan, Metallica, Pearl Jam and the Grateful Dead among the 80-plus songs on the playlist.


I wish they would have mentioned if it was going to be the first single or not. But either way its a great day for us

As happy as I am to hear about a brand-spankin new GN'R tune that I've never heard of, it still isn't enough to con me into buying an Xbox 360.

I think the songs we've heard may be a diversion for whats really on the album. U put out songs people "THINK" will be on the album, and then hit em with something completely different.

Well you have to think,. or this is how I think, its not unknown that things leak, and we as fans have heard some great things, from the band, in the form of leaks, and by Axls own words, he played with us at the shows, calling us Downloading Motherfuckers. lol , and Im sure leaks were never planned, but were by all in the organization a real thing, to consider.. I dont see it that far off, that some things, were expected, while they have safegaurded many other things, and in the process toured and coincidentally played thingsk Leaked, for the fans.

So they did good to us, playing new songs. Im more excited than ever , and Ive been excited  for many yrs, and the news of this, just makes me even more .

I don't know but it's a Bucket song from a soundtrack he worked on awhile ago. Saul said something about it.

But yeah the title is awesome, I really want to hear it, but I can't wait to see the full tracklist to see what else is in store.

I'm no native speaker either, but someone wrote somewhere that it's a kinda slang word for a prisoner, I think?
