Artist: Guns N' Roses
Song: "Shackler's Revenge"
Album: Chinese Democracy (release date still unknown, Geffen)

The saga of Axel Rose continues. While it seems as if the many-times-over delayed Chinese Democracy is finally poised for release, whether or not it actually sees the light of day is still anybody's guess. However, recent leaks and sly hints from Mr. Rose seem to suggest that the end is finally nigh. Having a song debut in Rock Band 2 provides a wee bit of shining light at the end of the tunnel, to boot. Regardless of whether or not Chinese Democracy ever does get released, at least a legion of patient fans will have something to tide them over and re-ignite any stagnating GnR hysteria.

I played RB1 the other day and totally freaked thinking how hard it would be to follow Brain's drumming on that game!

and axl's vocals and BH+BFFs guitars...it must be a toughie.

Are all guitar parts to be played or just the lead?

Any word on this song being a single or GN'R possibly being on the VMA's MYSTERON!?!?!?

Nothing has been confirmed yet.

Universal are re-releasing AFD on vinyl is September. That is the only thing listed on their database right now.

We'll have to wait and see if they have the CD cover art in the game and I'm reasonably sure Axl won't be on the cover.

god dam September is so far away

I mean, this will be Gnrs most important month of there comeback ,

Theres lots of hype surround the Shak's revenge, and perhaps rumoured VMA appearance/performance

I hope Axl does appear on the cover of rockband,

it would totally kick ass!

is it finalized yet? I thought there were 2 candidates. http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2008/06/05/potential-rock-band-2-box-art-meet-the-candidates/

I would love it if the entire band(of 8~10) appeared. Grin but the cover won't feature real musicians will it?

I agree there is an almost live sounding quality to vinyl, its funny cos even though cd's play clear quality music you don't get the same kind of sound you do with vinyl. The sound created from a vinyl disc is unique. There's a vibration and bolder sound from it along with needle scraping the vinyl can make a song sound like its being played live. AFD would be an amazing album to listen to on vinyl. Thats the truth

I know vinyl sounds good. as a kid I heard classics on cassette dubbed from my parents vinyl discs and I think they sounded better than on cds I bought myself. I hear it's something to do with harmonic overtones. smoking

That seems really cool itself, not to mention just being another piece of GNR stuff happening in September.
