When I think of generic, I usually think of store brand products.

I hardly think Utz and Little Debbie count as generic.

Although, generic Viagra would be terrible.

Any store brand mac and cheese is AWFUL.

I agree on all others listed here!

Except for ice cream, Ben and Jerry's all the way even though it's expensive as hell.

^ my bad.  when I think generic, I guess I've always included cheap knock-offs as well.

store-brand orange juice tends to be rather bitter.  Minute Maid or Tropicana or the Florida's Own are nice.

This brings up an interesting point we should discuss.

AxlsMainMan brought up chocolate milk.

Would you consider Nesquik a cheap knockoff of Hershey's chocolate milk?

You can't have any losers with those options!  drool

Hershey's and Nesquik are like the coke and pepsi of chocolate milk.  You're right, no losers there!

Now, jeans.  I must say, up until a few years ago I was a Levi's man.  550's I think were my jeans...now, I'm open to whatever my wife finds for me.

guinness
cadbury  chocolate
snickers ice cream bar

^It's what I lived off of in college.  It's a high-fat, high-cal, deadly sodium level food that sustains poor college students...at least it did when I was in school. Smiley

Sometimes it's called oodles of noodles or Top Ramen.

thanks. wonder how it tastes.

Well it's like $1.50 for a 12 box, pack, so you don't have much to lose by trying it.

Rachel Ray claims to be real Italian, but she can not correctly pronounce "pasta e fagioli"

I buy any and all generic brands now.  Whatever is on sale.  I've got no brand loyalty anymore.  I used to buy only Cambell's Chunky Soup and Uncle Ben's Rice.  Not anymore though.  I'll eat just about anything.  It all tastes just fine to me.

that is too true!!!

I agree with most all listed, I'd also add bakery  baked breads like semolina as apposed to massed produced breads at small corner stores.

She's started saying EV2O!  GARGH!  And her voice annoys me and so do her cameramen whom all suffer from Parkinson's Disease it seems!

Should EV2O bottles have two caps on them!?

I think my dad has a crush on her.  He wakes up at 9 AM to catch her program, and comes back at 3 in the afternoon for a whole hour of her show on the Food Network.  Fuck him.
