The Lightest Strings

I want to know which are the lightest strings known to mankind. Currently, I use D'Addario 0.09 gauge nickel strings and even those are too tight for me as I have small fingers. The looseness I'm looking for can be best described as 'floopy' (Like how loose strings are when they are half tuned). Will using a different kind of strings help? Or a different brand (like Ernie Ball)?

Wouldn't it just be easier to practise and strengthen your fingers?

I seem to remember Jimmy Page used/uses banjo strings..

My fingers are pretty strong, I've been playing for 7 years and 6 of them only on acoustic. But I really want to be able to bend on the fly and doing a 2.5 fret bend is pretty difficult for me.

Do you have your guitar set up well? Your action might have something to do with it, but I'm sure you'd know that.

The guitar might have something to do with it. My Gretsch Electromatic isnt as easy to do large bends on as my Gibson LP Classic is. Thats just the nature of the instruments.

Yeah, my guitar action is pretty low. Yes, I agree it would be easy to do wild bends and stay in tune on a Gibson, but my guitar is just a cheap LP copy. Does it's job pretty well though.

I used Ernie Ball .008 Extra Slinkys for a long time. I started using Optima 24K gold strings, like Brian May uses, a couple months ago. They're brilliant, and feel like new throughout the whole life of the string, but they were costing me $40 a pack to import from the UK. So I'm going back to Ernie balls again. They're good strings, hardly ever snap, I'd definitely recommend them. They're not overly expensive so I don't see myself using anything else.

i use earnie ball super slinky ones can't remember the gage on them but they have never let me down however im also not the best guitar player known to this planet
