Buy the t-shirt. It's for a good cause!

And you might win stuff by doing so.  ok

Hope they raise a lot of money! Things are to tight around here right now or I would get a shirt.

I would just like to say "Thanks" Ron for being involved in Rock against Diabetes.  I have lost two of my grandparents to this, and my father was diagnosed about 17 years ago. Although he takes wonderful care of himself he is loosing his eyesight as we speak. It is one of the causes out there I heavily support amoung others. With that said, I am leaving this conversation to go ask my husband If we can go, only six days left, I love being spontanious, wish me luck!! Grin

Lemme know if you can make it - and all the best to you and your family   Smiley

I'll be jamming the end of each night with friends, playing AC/DC, Aerosmith, Kiss, Thin Lizzy, GNR, Metallica, Halen, Queen - will be a big clusterfuck but a fun one...   Aug. 22nd & 23rd at the Rox Club on Dean Martin Drive.   Tix are at http://www.rockagainstdiabetes.org/mainshow.htm

The T-shirt thing is still goin' on - ya buy a $20 Rock Against Diabetes / Bumble shirt and money goes to charity.  Every time someone buys a shirt, we put their name into a drawing - at the show I'm gonna pick a random name and that person wins a ton of stuff from the show sponsors.  A Gibson Les Paul (with hardshell case,) a bunch of Atari games, a speaker cab, DiMarzio pickups, signed merch from the event, a 3-hour guitar lesson with me at the Gibson showroom in NYC and hotel for a night in Times Square.  We might be able to cover airline tickets also, if enough people buy shirts and money can be put towards it without making a dent in what's to be donated.  Info at http://www.rockagainstdiabetes.org/bfootbfg.htm (when ya watch the vid on that page, disregard the part about DeepRockDrive streaming the show - they're no longer doing that...)

Thanks so much to all the GN'R forum members for that have spread the word and gave support.  Will let the kids in the children's hospital know that the GN'R community was there for them - you're good people    Smiley

Thanks for the reminder and links.  Ron seems like such a genuine bloke - good on him for doing this and the T-shirts don't look too shabby either; just ordered myself one.   ok

What about live (or not) streaming, Ron? I'm confused... I guess we'll watch the show soon?
Great to know you'll be playin' Aerosmith, Queen, Gn'R, Halen etc. Cool
I guess your new foot guitar won't be ready 'till 22th  Undecided

EDIT: I'D LOVE TO WATCH YOU PLAYING SOME BBF SONGS!! PLEASE... DO IT! Cheesy

Thanks so much Ron for all involved, unfortunately for me it doesn't seem I will be making this trip due to a boating incident with one of my children this weekend, all will be fine in due time, motherhood first Wink I wish this charity all the best and I will be supporting you from behind the scenes this time. Best Wishes to all involved.

I bought a t-shirt.

Which brings me to a slightly off topic (but I'm not sure where else I'd ask it) question:

Are there plans for another HTGTH T-Shirt "extravaganza"?

Are there plans for another HTGTH T-Shirt "extravaganza"?

Not like previously with deadlines etc.

It'll most likely be handed by one of those companies who print on demand.

Welcome to the board, Ron.

Good luck with your show. Great cause and some very honorable karma for everyone involved.

I live in Vegas and am gonna try to be there, but am still awaiting word from the rock against diabetes website as to wether or not I can buy tickets at the door, because the ticket link only brings you to a pay pal account. I don't have pay pal or a credit card, but I gots plenty of cash!  so I hope it works out, tickets are only 37 bucks for the show.

EDIT Sweet, just received word from the organizer that I can buy tickets at the door, I'm there!
