Slash Working on Solo Album - Release Date April 6th

In the case of Jerry Cantrell, I think it was justified.  Considering he made it clear he needed a tour to be able to promote the record, and they refused to fund one, instead putting him in the opening slot of a Nickelback tour as a "compromise".

That's still a tour though right? Did he think he was going to headline arenas by himself?

I myself am a recovering addict ( clean for 2 years) and when in recovery they like to give you chips, etc every 30 days. It`s like a reward to remind you that you are doing well and they say that your body detoxifies itself every 30 days and I guess you get these using feelings and so they reward you with a chip or whatever to let you know you`ve done well and it will help to stay on the right path. I congratulate Slash for any clean time, it`s hard man and I hope he keeps going. The longer you have the better you feel. Your body is your temple....treat it right and it will treat you right.....

Slash Says New Album Almost Finished

Slash attended the ?Marshal Classic Rock Roll of Honor Awards? where he said, ?It?s pretty much done. I?ve got a couple of songs left to mix and I?ve got one song left to record which I?m doing as soon as I leave here, after I head back tomorrow.? This debut album for the Guns N Roses guitarist will feature a virtual ?who?s who? from the music industry and will surprise quite a few fans.

Slash wold not confirm any of this but he did say, ?There?s quite a list of people on the album. I?m not publicly talking about who it is until all the ink is dried on all the different contracts, but the rumors are out there ? you sort of know what?s going on. There will be some people from the pop business that people are surprised that I?m using, and there?s also some real rock n roll people with pop guises.?

 November 9, 2009 - Monday 

The tracking for my record is completely done & we only have 3 songs left to mix. I'm extremely happy about how the whole thing turned out, I think you're going to dig it. Also, there is a single dropping in Japan this month that I did recorded with Koshi Inaba from the B'z. The song is called "Sahara" & is only available for sale in Japan & won't be on the domestic release of the cd. There is a surprise B-Side you gotta check out.

Yeah, I don't know if that was done purposely, but it certainly does rhyme.  Except for the "WOW", but that's just the big finale.  Every good chant needs one.
