^^Yes it's been confirmed.

Alice Cooper Sings On Slash Solo Album

by Paul Cashmere - August 23 2009

Alice Cooper is back working with Slash. The former Guns n Roses / Velvet Revolver member is making a solo record with a whole host of special guest singers.

?I just finished writing a couple of songs for Slash?s new album that is going to be coming out,? Alice tells Undercover News. ?He is working with a bunch of lead singers. It is sort of a nice idea of Slash and Alice, Slash and Iggy, Slash and Meat Loaf or whoever is going to be on it. It is a great idea?.

From his MySpace update:

Meanwhile, the solo record is in its mixing stage & the mixes to this point sound great. We have recorded 18 songs with one more I want to track in the next couple weeks. Regardless, the record is still slated for a Feb/March release.

Does anyone know if he has a label for this thing? If he is marketing to the Japanese market differently, it would seem there is a label directing this.

You should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me.

September 29, 2009 - Tuesday
 new update
Greetings all, how's everybody doing?

1st, I'd like to say thank you for your interest & support for VR & everything else I've got going on, you're fucking awesome, cheers!

Next, there are a lot of posts about the upcoming Vegas event, but the actual line-up for the Mirage gig Oct 2nd is: Tommy Clufetos on drums, Johnny Griparic on bass,  Ted "Zig Zag" Andreadis on keys, John 5 on guitar, myself on guitar & Franky Perez, vocals. That, is basically the house band, my special guests that night are, more or less in this order: Rocco Deluca, Nicole Scherzinger, Courtney Love, Rick Nielson, Robin Zander & Joe Perry. Also, Matt Sorum is jamming a couple songs + there will be some other surprises. I also just got confirmation that the Joe Perry Project is playing as well, it promises to be a bitchin' evening. tickets are available through Mirage Entertainment on the Mirage website.

And, there is another gig I'm putting together for November 22nd for LA Youth Network or "LAYN" at the Henry Fonda Theater, I'll have line-up details for that event, which is a fund raiser & an awesome cause, soon enough.

Meanwhile, the solo record is in its mixing stage & the mixes to this point sound great. We have recorded 18 songs with one more I want to track in the next couple weeks. Regardless, the record is still slated for a Feb/March release.

Btw, a friend of mine hipped me to a wikkipedia site that focuses on the development of this album, the details of which are actually pretty accurate, although almost all of the alleged song titles are incorrect. Also, Jason Bonham does not appear on this album. Other than that its pretty right on.

That's all I've got for now, see you in Vegas,

Slash is demonstrating his position as the spokesman and ambassador of lead rock n' roll guitarists.

If he could keep up with Michael Jackson on stage (and Axl Rose as well), I'm sure these guests will be trying just as hard to keep up with him!

Chris Cornell was mentioned by Josh Freese in a Music Radar interview:

On a related Guns N' Roses note, you're recording with Slash. How's that going?

"It's awesome. He's making kind of a Santana record with a bunch of different singers. There's an Ozzy track, an Iggy Pop track, a Fergie track?Chris Cornell's going to be on it. As of now, I'm the only drummer on it, but you never know..."

I don't know about Jason Bonham, I know he did the Slash & Friends thing, but I'm kind of loosing track between the two.

And I wouldn't say the list is confirmed, some are, others are names that have just been mentioned.

Edit to fix typos, I need to type slower  hihi

Am I still reading the Onion?

To quote the great 21st century philosopher, Eric Cartman,

"Well, I?m out guys. If this is what?s cool now, I think I?m done. I no longer have any connection to this world. I?m gonna go home and kill myself. Goodbye, friends."
