Well, we have to remember that maybe Slash also uses twitter to connect with his friends?  Its not ONLY for the use of his fan's.  Its not like these are posted all over the internet.  If you want the updates, check his page.  If not, don't check it.

Personally, i think its a much better approach than whats happening in GNR.  We also have to remember that slash used to do a lot of the interviews for GNR.

I don't think he is hyping it its not like he is doing public interviews saying everysong is the next best thing. When ever i write something i like i always say its bitchin or awsome just because of the freshness of it the new ness of it and i tell friends and close people about it that way, which i think he is doing with the twitter. After he listens to all of it completed he will probably have a few songs that he hypes not all of them. Lay of the guy jesus, let him enjoy himself its not like he is going around to MTV, VH1 and everyone saying this album is the next coming of christ hes just excited aftr recording a song.

Twitter is much bigger than MTV or VH1, at least when it comes to music.

He has a gozillion followers.  He's not just telling his buddies about how cool his solo with Fergie is.

Me saying Slash knows how to "Hype" an album wasn't being negative.

I love how I am a new gnr hater and now somehow I am a Slash hater.

weird how that works.

saying someone knows how to "hype" something is actually complimentary.

Slash even said when they were recording Libertad how much better the guitars and shit were than Contraband cause the producer of CB didn't know how to record guitars

how did that work out? CB is 10 times better than Libertad.

So I was just saying, SLash knows how to get people excited for something which was a compliment and I am very glad he tweets and I look forward to reading them.

Lenny Kravitz not on Slash's album

Thu 25 Jun

Lenny Kravitz has shot down rumours that he will be appearing on Slash's upcoming solo album.

The Are You Gonna Go My Way rocker, who is touring the UK, was expected to sing on the debut record from the Velvet Revolver guitarist but reveals: "No, I didn't do anything, I heard that rumour but I didn't have anything to do with it - I guess someone wrote it, you know how things get written."

Lenny - who went to school with Slash and is good friends with him - added: "I haven't seen him in ages."

Slash's highly anticipated solo record, Slash And Friends, is expected in 2010 and will reportedly feature Ozzy Osbourne, Ronnie Wood, Black Eyed Peas' Fergie, Avenged Sevenfold's M Shadows and Blink-182's Travis Barker.

Not a bummer for me. I would be just fine not hearing another Lenny Kravitz song in my life.

I agree, hopefully it's called something else.  Although, that is what he is calling his Quart Festival appearance.  Undecided

I thought real early Lenny was OK like Let Love Rule. But about the time of "Are you gonna my way" I just started to find his songs super annoying.
