things are going great in the studio, we are officially past the 1/2 way point, with some really cool collaborations coming up in the days & weeks ahead.

That's really all that's going on that's fit to write about, I'm mostly working, but I'm having a great time.

According to Matt Sorum, Slash has not asked him to play on the album, but he will be using Travis Barker and Jason Bonham.

I doubt any offense was taken - they've played together in 2 groups and jam together with Camp Freddy on a regular basis....

could you just imagine Steven's reaction if he found out that Matt was gonna be on this album too.  Dr Drew could probably do an entire series based just on that!

could you just imagine Steven's reaction if he found out that Matt was gonna be on this album too.  Dr Drew could probably do an entire series based just on that! 

last year sometime, Steve had a relapse that seemed to be mostly because he had asked Slash who would be playing drums on his album, and Slash had said it would be Matt.

Im sure Matt's ok with not playing on the album, or on one song...it's not his album or his band after all.
Im also sure Steve is ok with Matt playing way less on the album than what he had anticipated.

will be awesome to hear Slash with Travis Barker and Josh Freese!! looking forward to this SO fucking much!!

"He hasn?t asked me. You know, he?s got Jason Bonham playing on it, and Travis Barker, and I think he wants to, kind of, separate himself and do his own thing and that?s cool. I mean when he first did Slash?s Snakepit, I told him years ago that I thought it might be a good idea for him to bring in different singers and do that kind of thing, when we did the first Snakepit album way back when. Now he?s doing it, and I think it?s a good time for him to explore other styles of music because he?s such a great guitar player. He?s lent his guitar playing to so many great artists like everyone from Iggy Pop to Dylan, and he?s played with Michael Jackson. I mean he?s played with everybody. So to ask a favor back for him, it?s a big thing for Slash and I?m really excited for him."

so after saturday he'll have what, 11 songs w/ vocals recorded? and he's doing 14?  so he could theoretically be done before the end of may with the vocalists?
and he's got Norway's QUART Festival June 30th, so you'd think he'd get a single out b4 this festival right? and the album out by the end of summer?

I wonder if the release of CD is making Slash step his shit up somewhat?

Could be a very awesome album or a big let down.
