On May 28, The Hilfiger Sessions, Tommy Hilfiger?s hit global live-music series, touched down at New York City?s Webster Hall - the first U.S. ?Sessions? of 2008. Fresh from their new residency at LA?s The Roxy, and in their first NYC appearance in two years, headliners Camp Freddy (see below) took center stage with an all-star lineup of friends, including surprise guest artists Moby, Royston Langdon (Spacehog) and Marky Ramone (The Ramones). Alongside Tommy Hilfiger himself, onlookers included musicians Q-Tip and Perry Farrell (Jane?s Addiction; Porno for Pyros) and designer John Varvatos.

Show footage and backstage interviews of The Hilfiger Sessions will be available exclusively online at newly launched music site TommyTV.

Camp Freddy is: Dave Navarro (Jane?s Addiction; Red Hot Chili Peppers); Donovan Leitch (actor; musician); Matt Sorum (Guns ?n Roses, Velvet Revolver); Billy Morrison (The Cult; Circus Diablo); and Chris Chaney (Jane?s Addiction).

From Tommy Hilfiger...

?I?m sorry- could you speak up? I was rocking out till midnight with Dave Navarro, Matt Sorum, Billy Morrison ? oh, and Moby was there, too.?

If you attended The Hilfiger Sessions at Webster Hall last night, your morning meeting probably started the same way.

The venue was perfect for an intimate acoustic set, followed by a balls-to-the-wall electric jam session with some of rock?s biggest names, plus special guests. Bean bag chairs and small tables surrounded the circular stage so that no matter where you were standing, sitting or jumping, you had a nice view of Dave Navarro?s ripped figure.

Donovan Leitch and Chris Chaney rounded out the host band. And among the many guests were Steve Isaacs, Brett Scallions and in true Hilfiger style ? designer Keenan Duffty.

My favorite moment had to be Steve Isaacs singing Sweet Jane. Or maybe it was when the band covered The Door?s People are Strange. But there were plenty of awesome moments to go around.

As for star sightings, rapper Q-Tip was there, as well as Marky Ramone (yes! of The Ramones) who graced us with one song before passing back the drumsticks. Overall, it was a great crowd, a mix of leather punk rockers and hemp wearing hippies. And it was a great night for an open bar jam session with tommy hilfiger and his musician friends.
