Well remember, they claimed to have found WMD right before the 06 election too...

Punk created the title to this topic. Enough said.

Lets not play disingenuous here, I find this no more inane or asinine than your freedumb fries, or the Iraq/Al Queda claim.

Punk, how many Iraq war threads do we really need around here? It's a 5 year old argument.

We know your position and your disdain toward those who don't share it.

It's wrapped around her neck, not her head. American ignorance at its best.

Oh, please don't pin us all with this ignorance.  Not only is tribal garb NOT, in itself, indicative of terrorism but, as you said, she isn't even WEARING it the same way.

The whole thing is beyond ridiculous.

more importantly....

"Al Qaeda is on the verge of a strategic defeat in Iraq"

Less than a year after his agency warned of new threats from a resurgent al-Qaeda, CIA Director Michael V. Hayden now portrays the terrorist movement as essentially defeated in Iraq and Saudi Arabia and on the defensive throughout much of the rest of the world, including in its presumed haven along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.

In a strikingly upbeat assessment, the CIA chief cited major gains against al-Qaeda's allies in the Middle East and an increasingly successful campaign to destabilize the group's core leadership.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24885150/

Any terrorists in Iraq who decided to call themselves al Qaeda to lend more weight to their cause are hardly the same as al Qaeda, as is found in Afghanistan and Pakistan, which attacked us on 9/11, and which has commited any number of other violent acts.

While I would certainly applaud the defeat of any terrorists found in Iraq, there is a KEY distinction between terrorism and insurgency and, in light of the overall problems Iraq faces, many of which are tied directly to ethnic divisions, the end of ethnic violence would be far more helpful in achieving the goal of a peaceful Iraq with a stable and, presumably, democratic government.

This was not an Iraq war thread, until your buddy Sandman changed the subject, probably to save face from what a jokeshow the republican party has become ( ie their pursuit of talk show host's scarfs and avoiding foods with the name "French.")

The republican party are not the ones making an issue over Rachel's scarf.

Some critics who are either way too sensitive or have too much time on their hands are.

One of your little fascist mouthpieces led the hitjob on the scarf in question. The same columnist you walk lockstep with nearly everyday, including, but not limited to, daily Obama strawman buffoonery. Who do you think you're kidding?

the republican party has major issues. the topic of this thread is not one of them.

stupid "discussions" on childish non-issues is a waste of time. there's plenty of real problems within the republican party. there's no need to create false ones.

seriously though...even i think this little uproar is ridiculous....i think Dunkin Donuts is stupid for even responding to it...

This is true.  The spineless executives are just as reprehensible for taking those complaints seriously, and legitimizing them.

One of MY little fascist mouthpieces?

Dude,  I'm just a GNR fan who has an interest in politics with my own opinions, not part of some vast right wing conspiracy. I wonder about you sometimes.....

Yes, we should go back to talking about important things like Reverend Wright.

Listen, this is par for the course for the NeoCons. It's "Freedom Fries II", but this time, people have pulled their heads out of the asses and realize how utterly pathetic and stupid it all is. Please don't come here and pretend this isn't the same group of shitheads you've been marching behind for the last several years.

All of a sudden, you're an objective thinker who wants to talk about issues?  hihi

This scarf thing is ludicrous.  Just another attempt to draw the American mind away from what's really important.

And, BTW, when did Al Qaeda ever have anything to do with Iraq, anyway?  I thought it was Afghanistan.
