It really depends on different factors. For example, if you got up many hours before, say 4 or 5am, then it's basically the same as if you got up at 8am and started drinking at noon, or 1 o'clock. Also, how much are we talking about? Is it a drink or two, and then nothing else the rest of the day? That's not too bad. Conversely if you start drinking and don't stop until you go to bed, you might have a problem.
There's also the matter of how much you can tolerate. This changes from person to person, depending on your weight, experience with alcohol, and other factors.
Food also plays a part. If you don't eat anything, you're going to get a better buzz than if you do.
It's different for everyone.

The Belgians love their beer, but drinking it in large quantities (as one is apt to do when Stella is on your local tap) means frequent trips to the loo. So, two beer fans out there have created a video game called "Place to Pee," in which players race down ski slopes and kill aliens while whizzing.

The game is the brainchild of software developer Werner Dupont and electrical engineer Bart Geraets, who were deep in their ales when the idea dawned on them. "This thing had to be invented by Belgian people and that's what we are," they said.

Belgian police shut down a previous incarnation of the urinal video game last November, calling it indecent.

The "Place to Pee" booth fits two users at a time, and gamers hit their targets by aiming at sensors at either side of the urinal. The makers say that women can play along, too -- using a special paper cone.

Honestly the last time I drank before 9 AM was a Monsters of Rock show. People in my group were puking before 10 AM. Personally, I can't do it. Even if I start at like 1 PM, I'll only last until maybe 7 PM and then pass out. Starting at 9, I would be out by noon if I continued drinking.

But there is nothing wrong with it as long as you are staying put, not driving anywhere, and can find the bed. Hey, you could actually booze, sleep, booze, sleep, booze, sleep...
