"It's a Shame About Ray" is one of my all-time favorite records.  The others?  Not so much.

I like Evan Dando too.

He should have gone to better things

But it's nice to know he's getting back on track, at least in my opinion.  The Lemonheads (2006) is a solid record that comes close to recapturing some of the spark from the Ray album.  Then again, it's not a bad thing that he recruited the rhythm section from The Descendants, now is it? 

Still, I'd advise anyone interested in checking these guys out to listen to It's a Shame About Ray.  The cover of "Mrs. Robinson" aside, there's virtually no filler on it (and really, how could there be, with 13 songs clocking in at 33 minutes?).  "Confetti," "Rudderless," "Buddy," etc.  Great stuff.
