Psh, to Flea on bass. Or McKagan. Let's resurrect John Entwistle!, then we'll be started. If that's out of the question, I second the notion of Surforia!, hands down.

Hell yeah! Maybe even Daughtry on vocals, but I haven't heard anything he has done lately.

Gosh this very nearly impossible as so many of my favourite musicians play in the same band.

I guess the only way I could consider anyone but Axl on vocal duties would be with the resurrection of the late, great Mr Mercury.  And keyboards again I have a problem with who to choose if not Dizzy; have to be Jools Holland, I suppose, but he really would be second choice.  Guitars, mmm, BBF and Brian May - although I suppose I couldn't have him and Freddie...   Undecided

No, sorry, I've changed my mind, it's not 'very nearly' impossible, it is impossible!   Cheesy

I've been a fan of both Buckethead and Bumblefoot for more than a decade and I have dozens of reasons to regard people like BBF and Govan as better overall musicians and technically more proficient players than Buckethead.

Buckethead uses more rigid patterns around which he improvises. Where Ron is the exact diametric opposite of a pattern player with his shoot from the hip (yet always amazingly authentic) approach, making him more original and less predictable. Ron successfully explores more genres than Buckethead, making his work more multi dimensional. Ron?s work contains more advanced and original (and therefore to me interesting) rhythmic, melodic, harmonic, dynamic and non diatonic ideas. Ron has a much better trained fretting hand due to extensive fretless playing, his legato technique is of Holdsworth-like quality (which is just amazing), he plays cleaner and faster than Buckethead and has a bigger spectrum of chops to choose from. Add a photographic memory for music and perfect pitch to Ron?s list and I really don?t see what?s so hard to get about this?

Who are you, again?

See, Townshend's a tricky one... As songwriter? Fuck yeah you can count me in!, as the member of a super group... I'm not so sure. But that's how it goes. There is nobody here who would have ol' Roger W as bass player,

yet he was the foundations of one of the greatest bands to grace this planet!
