I think GN'R will tour with NIN.
That would be a solution!

this is without a doubt the most redundant thread in the history of HTGTH...
it was asleep for a while... now it's back from the dead.

being sarcasctic? it was topic related, maybe you need it some more easy, let me try:
if Robin is playing in June 2009 with NIN then he most likely wouldnt play with axl on a worldtour at the same time - if that happens by that time off course.

GnR aren't in any talks about touring if you listen to what Dexter said. Who know's June 13th could be NIN last gig ?? either way its a wait and see approach.

You don't know what talks they're in or anything else that's going on with them. You know what he said 2 months ago. Besides, "if you listen to what Dexter said", how do ya like that video?

i did read exactly end of december 2008, maybe you should do too:
fan question:
"
I was wondering about new tour dates....
"
Axl:
"
No plans.
We're talking.
"
a wait and see approach for the next 5 months again?

Probaly, if they were playing in May or June we would know about it already ! latest I see them touring is in Sept at the earliest.

agreed. How can anyone expect them to tour when there lead guitarist is still touring with NIN and there rhythm guitarist is on tour with another act? Not sure but I think FOrtus is not free until August.
I think next fall or winter is the best time for a gnr tour. Thats why it makes sense to just release the next album before the tour. and do a monster tour with a monster set

From Richard's official site:
2009-02-08 Grammy Awards
2009-02-13 Kuala Lumpur
2009-02-15 Jakarta, Indonesia
On one hand you're saying nothing is going on and complain about it, on the other hand you're hoping nothing will happen in months.
Amazing.

I thought Richard was touring with Rhianna? Shoot me!
Robin is touring until atleast June. If hes even in the band, I would imagine he would take a mini break. Throw in a couple of weeks of band practice..still looking at a late summer/fall tour.

Maybe you think too much and know too little?
It's easy to check.
According to his site, he's touring with Rihanna this month. He has nothing booked beyond that (right now).

I think next fall or winter is the best time for a gnr tour.
After all, aren't you one of the guys who always wants what's best for the band?
According to you, touring in the fall/winter would be best for the band. And since it's best for the band I assume you wish/hope it to happen.
Maybe my logic for that confuses you. Sorry.
Thanks for taking time out to post.

No, what I want is for Axl and the band to be out there right now making videos, touring, interviews, performances, etc.
But thats not realistic because there lead guitar player is playing with NIN. Plus we dont even know if hes in our out.
So, being that Im one of the guys who always wants whats best for the band(aka-a fan), I would suggest that Axl waits for Robin to finish up with NIN before promoting and touring CD. That way when he is back and rested they can go on a world tour, do all the right promotion, videos, and maybe even drop the other album before or during the world tour. So by the time Robin comes back from NIN and a mini vacation and the band does some rehearsals the Fall will be upon us.
I would also suggest Axl getting on the same page with Robin so that there arent any surprises come the end of the NIN tour. If Axl can get on the same page with FInck now rather than later then he can save himself some time by beginning the search for ANOTHER lead guitar player.
Isnt that the most logical approach at this point in time?
