Trent posted on the NIN website that Josh will be leaving NIN at the end of the year.
Robin's personal website has no NIN tour dates listed on his website after 12/13. The NIN tour will be continuing through 2009.

Is it possible that Axl asked Josh to come back to GN'R for the real Chinese Democracy tour? The two of them co-wrote the title track and Axl loves Freese's drumming.

I like Brain, but I'd much rather have Josh.

And, on another note, if Robin was really going to leave the NIN tour after 12/13, why wouldn't Reznor announce it?

Just what GN'R needs, a 3rd drummer. I mean, I know that Freese is part of Chinese Democracy, but it'd be nice to know who's performing on any given night. As it is, I don't know how they're going to manage the Brain and Frank thing.

Well, do GN'R really need four guitarists (including Tommy Stinson) every night either?

GN'R can survive with just Bumble on lead guitar should Robin not stay... and they don't need multiple drummers, either.

But I'd rather have both of them of course.  Tongue

Is he still in NIN?  I still find it hard to believe that Robin would leave now since the album is hitting stores soon and why would he want to leave this monstrosity?

No. I hope Freese isn't coming back.

Brain is the drummer (maybe Ferrer too), and i still think Robin will be back to tour with Gn'R 2009!

Never forget the Reznor factor. Axl is a legend, but Trent is God!

Freese going to Gn'R is pure speculation.  Since he wrote most of the CD music, it would make sense for him to want to play it live.  We'll see what happens.  I would definitely want Robin to be a part of whatever Gn'R does.

It'd be a shame for Brain to have spent like 7 months re-recording Freese's drum parts, just to be replaced by him once it comes to playing live.

Robin never left Gn'R.  He stated he will be touring with NIN, and that was it.  I would be suprised if Robin isn't there for the next Gn'R tour.

Dont look took much into Freese leaving

But it appears that Robin is back!

Now lets get workin on the videos

Do you think Axl will ask Bucket to appear in the videos of the songs he is credited for?

Robin never said he left.  The NIN Tour so far has not conflicted with anything Gn'R has done. So in essence Robin knew that it wouldn't and would have time to reconcile and tour with NIN

I heard Freese is leaving the tour for personal/family reasons.

Where did you get an indication that Robin will pull out of the 2009 NIN tour? I see none.

This is all so crazy, but good crazy, you know?  The liner notes for the album should be thicker than a set of encyclopedias.   I can't wait to see who is actually credited as "in the band" when the disc is out, who gets credit for what, etc.   More importantly, though, I just can't wait to have the album in my hands, regardless of who is participating in what part of the tour, promotion, etc...

Now that the album is coming out, I hope Robin chooses to say some words about it.

And I don't ever remember him leaving the band, I've said all along he is simply touring with NIN and has never said he won't be back with GnR when they are going to tour.

It's pure speculation. His website lists no tour dates after the 13th of December.
