Wouldn't it be funny all this time, that he never left GnR in the first place.  Just touring with NIN on his down time.  I suspect that this thread could be locked in a week or so.

Excellent point. If I had to guess I think when Robin made his decision CD wasnt in sight. Or atleast there werent any solidified plans.

Ive said it a million times... I dont think there is any major rift between Robin and the band, I just think he was tired of waiting around. He has been in the band for over a decade.

Hopefully he comes back when they tour.

But what really sucks is that how are they going to do a music video when 2 of there lead and prominent writing guitarists arent even in the band at the moment. Especially Robin. I guess it will be more of a live footage video :{

In a few weeks ? music video's usually take 2 day's to shoot.  I wouldn't be surprised if see one at the end of this week or the following monday.

I don't know about Brain being definitely out..

But I know that he's willing to tour with GNR AFTER THE ALBUM comes out, IF they want him back..

He did that in 1999 so why not now?

All these blokes had lives before GN'R. I'm sure Guns is still their priority but people like Richard, for instance, has been working with alot of bands for ages and at the moment is touring with Rhianna, last year, i think it was last year, Done a record with the devinals but is still a major part of Guns N' Roses.

I don't know for sure but I really do think Robin is still in the band.

When Robin left for NIN the first time, did he announce it? I feel like if he had no intention of coming back he would have clarified. But maybe I'm wrong.

Seems possible.


remember the "Contracts" that were being negotiated, worked on?

maybe it wasn't all  Best Buy and those types of contracts but band member deals.

I doubt it. Although I dont know much about him, from the surface, he doesnt seem like that type of person...

i just think it was more of him just wanting to move on. Im sure he inquired about the status of CD before he made his decision. I think that CD was no where in sight or he didnt believe what he was told before he left

he was with Axl for over a decade and an album has yet to be released over that time. Im sure it is/was frustrating for him. Plus he did make over 3 albums with the band and toured the world. A 10 yr run along with all of that is a great run for someone. He probably just wanted a change of scenes/pace.

hopefully he will come back soon.

its ironic how we always had a band but no album. now its the opposite. only in gnr....lol but that is what makes gnr. the crazyness

i always was excited over the possible videos that the new band would do with Finck and Bucket. Hopefully atleast Robin comes back so he can add his creative mojo to the mix.
