The snipe that Del took at Robin in his email make me think he's gone.  I doubt that Robin was out of tune.  It was a deliberate dig at Robin .  Just a couple questions for you all on the negotiation schedule:

How long does it take the average band to negotiate the release of an album?

How long do you think it will take Axl?

Not to ask a stupid question, I know nothing about guitars or recording an album, but is this something they would not hear when he is actually recording his parts, or something they would hear playing it back while mixing?

It's not rare musicians goes one by one into the studio recording, after that all diferent contributions are mixed together.

I admit that I was one person who was freaking out about the situation with Robin (as you'd see in the first 1-20 pages of this thread or so lol) but now I'm just looking ahead to the release of the album which is closer than ever. The way Bumblefoot said it was right - we shouldn't really pay much attention to the issue with Robin until CD comes out because they're most likely not going to be touring anytime before that.

It's too late for any changes to be made to the album anyway - well the first album at least. We can be sure its on the table for Geffen now, assuming all the negotiations go ahead with no problems.

Exactly. I might be one of a very few hoping the live GNR repertoire will change significantly by the next tour. Anyway, thats to be discussed in the future lol..

Mabye, the best thing about it, would be to give more updates to the fans from the gnr camp,

so that their is a constant line of communication going on , and it would keep both sides of the fence happy,
the gnr camp could squash any rumours quickly and easily,
and the gnr fans wont be jumping to any conclusions by clinching at straws like we have been  when we get an update,
and we start to over analyze every single word and letter from the gnr camp....

If their is constant updates, then The "fans" wouldn't be having to try and forsee the future and truth by using their own opinions to jump to conclusions,
at the end of the day, If the gnr camp really wanted these rumours to stop and wanted to keep the fans happy,
just have small updates at a regular time, and tell the fans theyll keep them updates twice a month for instance....

ok: i could be that robin doen't know either if he'll be back with gnr (as i once said: he keeps himself two doors open); or he is out and they want to get him back; or they really didn't reach him (or didn't even try to). which sounds unbelievable, but it still might be that way.
