As for the statement, the only thing I'm focusing on is the "we're in negotiations" parts.  Sounds like all good news to me.  Until the album's release is finalized and negotiations end, there is *nothing* to get worked up over at this point.

Worst case scenario and Robin does choose to leave?  When we finally do hear about it, hopefully it will be "Chinese Democracy will be released on _______.  Robin has chosen to no longer be a part of Guns n Roses."

Me, I'll be too excited about the first part to really get too caught up in anything else....

Thought it was well-written on their part.  It is a shame they feel left up in the air as well with regards to this - but better to address that they know no more, than to let it wind on and on with no word.  well - onward with those negociations !

Thank you for the update, Guns and Jarmo, it's greatly appreciated.   

As much as I feel that Robin has a superb stage presence and hope to blazes that he chooses to remain a part of the band, I'm more than happy to see that the priority for GNR and management at the moment is the 'game plan' for the release and promotion of the album.

From what I can gather this new management appear to be the business; so fingers crossed that the next update will be the one.

it's still odd that he didn't call them, or Axl dosen't have his phone number to at least call him and ask what his plans are? In any case, they seem to be moving ahead and will deal with it when the time comes

This site is for the real fans who happen to share my view on what supporting a band is all about.

I've posted updates from the band when the GN'R camp has asked me to.

I know the real fans enjoy them and that's what matters.

It doesn't matter that somebody with a personal agenda against me tries to discredit me. Everybody can see who's looking like a dork.

When I see the type of update you gave prior to it being on the official web site  it lets me know this site is monitored by GNR and has some impact on how it is run. That is my point. I feel you lied to me when you made that statement. 

You're obviously either totally in the dark or you don't see what's going on around you.

The fact that certain people have posted here has been mentioned several times by people like you attacking me.



But I'm glad you're man enough to admit you were wrong in attacking me and my credibility by implying that I'd post a fabricated update while claiming I was asked to post it by the GN'R camp.

This new statement basically breaks down like this...

"Our thanks to those who continue to show their support."
--This is a real us vs. them philosophy, and I don?t understand why it is necessary.

It?s like this: ?we are continuing going to neglect and abuse and lie to our fans, just to separate the real fans from the fake fans.?

--I am just saying that being a fan shouldn?t be so much work. it?s supposed to be fun! LOL

It's always good to get updates, that's much appreciated.  Although Robin's status isn't any clearer.  The band is as in the dark as the fans, which isn't good.  The ball is in Robin's court now.  He should do the right thing and at least contact SOMEONE in GNR and let them know of his plans.  It's definitely a good sign though that Chinese Democracy negotiations are moving along, with or without Robin.  I was afraid if he had left that things might come to a hault, like what happened when Buckethead left.  I hope Robin does end up staying, or coming back, however you want to phrase it but for me, he hasn't exactly "won me over" where I'd be extremely sad if he left.  Fact is, I have no idea his exact contributions to the new songs, so I don't know exactly what we'd be missing out on.

But we've seen it all before. It's all fun until you're held responsible for what you say/post.

You can whine and whine about GN'R, but once you get called out on it by somebody in the GN'R camp, then it's "how dare he/she!".
