Im sure Robin isnt out of GNR.. He did this before why cant he do it again?? besides the NIN tour is probably ganna last till NOV. and supposedly Chinese Democracy will be here for Christmas 08 so itll all work out.. a tour for CD after the NIN tour concludes no big deal.

Is it possible he is hooking up with an old friend (Trent) and this isn't so well planned? Yes.

Is GunsN'Roses booked for any summer events? No signs of that.
Can Robin return to GunsN'Roses when they got something planned? Yeah, it's possible.

Do we know anything about Robins contractual agreements with NiN? No.

It's is entirely plausible Robin still consider himself a GunsN'Roses member and are ready to tour with the band.
I think you are making hasty conclusions on assumptions.

I am not saying that he hasn't quit GunsN'Roses-
- but if that was the case I am sure he would have said that.

As for now he is just touring with NiN

To me the gunsnroses.com-statement is exactly what I thought it would look like.
It sums the situation up without spreadng any further rumours or making speculations.

I think the GnR camp is pretty down to earth as far as giving any details to the public is concerned.
And I don't think the statement is anti-Robin at all.

But I bet some people will start to tear the statement apart, word by word anyway.

I think the point is, they dont need to know. CD's gonna be released as planned with or without Robin (when they finally set the release date).

I, for one, find it hard to believe they didn't talk to Robin about this directly. i mean, there's e-mails, fax's, telephones, and he lives right next door to richard, so they must've discussed this with him for sure.

So i believe whatever reasons there are holding them from speaking about it to the world concern only the band and those close to the band, and, at this point, there's nothing to be said.

I think it's great they at least updated us on the situation and told us all they could on the matter.

a lil' bonus to come out of this was the confirmation of what mysteron already shared about the  negociations.

i think there's nothing left to speculate here. when there are news, it's been proven, they'll tell us.

It's a bit ridiculous when the band doesn't even know who's still in the band.

Do you think that the band would give us every piece of information they have?

Maybe they are in negotiations with additional touring and marketing and other things.
And if they would know that they will release the CD somewhere around november 2008, why would it bother that Robin is touring before with NIN?!

And since we are all human beings maybe Robin would like to stay with NIN after the tour, who knows?
And if there is 0,01% possibility of that happening, any statement like "Robin is in GnR" would be attacked later as a lie.
Remember the tentative release date, the date was NOT promised, but still people attacked Axl after he adressed to the "fans".

That's why the last line of the statement is great!!!
