Robin leaving? Just touring?

G4 announced on Attack of the Show on Monday that Robin has left Guns N' Roses to rejoin NIN. Intersetingly, they gave a statistic that madde me feel bad for Robin. They said:

"Robin will be rejoining NIN, a band he hasn't recorded with in 8 years. During that time NIN has released 4 albums... well 7 if you count the new one as 4 albums... How many albums has Robin released since joining Guns... yeah, none. Boy's gotta get paid, can't say I blame him."

Then they joked that GN'R should do a reality show. That sucks man, it's a sad statistic that really hit home for me.

I saw that mention on Attack Of The Show. I just saw ticker at the bottom that mentioned Robin went back to nin.

now are we advertising nine inch nails music on a gnr board cause finck has supposedly changed bands?

Her point kinda was that since no one in GNR has done relevant amounts of press in some 10+ years, it might be worthvile to see wether or not TR has  something interesting (from GNR fans point of view) to say about Finck's status.

if we all just wait a little longer Im sure axl will clear things up on the gnr site...'

either that, or mabye robin might post something...

either way, there should" be a confirmation either way , if Robin is still in the band or not , at least for the short/long term

I find this a bit confusing... the last record was instrumental "opus" Ghosts ..correct.. and again I perplexed why its a big deal that Finck dong this would be so bad? Nothing thus far as made me think at all hes not part of GNR anymore. And if I am wrong, ok so what, yes would be disappointing.  BUT still I see no reason to jump to the paranoid conclusions.

No, but all the signs have been pointing to that. I know history isnt on our side, but to refrain from being a "negative whiner" Id like to focus on 08 being the yr.

This most definitely is a recording studio: as far as we can see, Finck is currently recording with NIN and that might be all. 

Yes, it appears as though they are in a recording studio; and yes, perhaps they are recording music. BUT... wouldn't one think they are recording their rehearsals- and not new music?  After all, if some of Trent's new "ghost" (or something) songs will be featured in their live set- and Robin didn't create that music with Trent- wouldn't he need to learn it to play it well in concert?  What better way is there than to record your guitar parts along with it in a studio? AND, and, and... why would they need to already be writing new music?  Trent just put out a new album(s).  I'd bet about 50 grand, tax included, that they are only in a studio to practice their live set for the upcoming tour. 

do you actually need a sound engineer and a producer present to practice playing guitar in NIN?
