All we know is that NIN is playing from July to September and Robin is "back."  They toured the rest of the world last year without touring the US.  He could be in for the US tour and then return to the GNR fold when all is ready.  Let's stop it with the WORLD TOUR CRAP.

If Axl says he was hurt and dissapointed by the news, would you still think hes just leaving to occupy his time till GNR are ready to tour?

Nope, I would be disappointed as well.  I am a Finck supporter, but a GNR fan above that.

I just hope that we get a statement from Axl or Robin sometime this week.  I think it would be a shame for Robin to miss out on the adulation and praise he'll receive when the album does come out if he's left the band, he has dedicated 10 years of his life to this I would think he'd want to be around to reap the benefits.  He has been a major contributor to the new songs and GnR fans have really warmed to him especially with his work on Better, CD, IRS and TWAT and his great solo on The Blues, where he got a chance to show what he can do on lead guitar.  I'd be sad to see him go, after hearing his work on the demos and seeing him live, but I'll wish him the best whatever he does.   He deserves a lot of credit for helping keep GnR alive

You bet he's laughing.  It takes him 1 minute to upload something that is sending half of this board into a heart attack state.

You're kidding yourself if you think Trent has nothing better to do with his time then mess with GNR fans.

I guess you forgot about all those GNR, Chinese Democracy pictures he's put on his website before.

I just don't think this is a good sign, guys. Even if he still is in the band Undecided

The only thing we can hope is that this is just a short stint, because Trent needed someone to fill in for Aaron for a bit.

Yes, it appears as though they are in a recording studio; and yes, perhaps they are recording music. BUT... wouldn't one think they are recording their rehearsals- and not new music?  After all, if some of Trent's new "ghost" (or something) songs will be featured in their live set- and Robin didn't create that music with Trent- wouldn't he need to learn it to play it well in concert?  What better way is there than to record your guitar parts along with it in a studio? AND, and, and... why would they need to already be writing new music?  Trent just put out a new album(s).  I'd bet about 50 grand, tax included, that they are only in a studio to practice their live set for the upcoming tour.
