I'm not so worried about this, so what that Robin is off to play with NiN live, good for him.

If CD isn't out until the end of the year this is a good thing for both bands, theres always new fans, every year, a kid sees NiN live, is amazed by Robin and can't find many original albums with him but wait, there is one album coming out soon..

Besides, even if CD drops in September that doesn't mean they have to start the tour right away, few shows here and there, then the world tour.

But if he would leave, I'd be sad, he might be a bit sloppy sometimes but the energy he brings to the shows, Maddy is not the same anymore without Bucket just like Better would not be the same without Robin

I'm sure he comes back when the time comes, just like Brain

Its about loyalty

if u are in GUNS N ROSES u dont join other bands and tour the world.

Side projects or solo things are ok cause they are smaller level things.

NIN is a huge thing

u dont go from GNR to NIN

If u want me to take this band seriously as GNR, these guys should be dedicated and committed TO GNR and not going back and forth with major bands.

Uh..and who are you to tell other people how they should live their lives? Huh

I thought Trent didn't want to do the whole "Rock Band" kind of tour again?

How can you say that now? They havent played a single event.

I think he said that after the china tour?

At some point in 06, (or 07?) someone in ETS asked Reznor about  the random bitter sounding remarks of Robin.

The circa 05 great Robin slander was because they did intially ask Finck to take part in With Teeth tour,  but instead of just giving a straight "yes" or a "no"Robin  kinda stalled everything by not being able to decide in reasonable timeline.

Above isn't an accurate word-to word quote but that essentially was what TR was saying.

In an interview released in my country in 2005, Trent was quoted as saying about Robin being happy as he was  waiting for a 'hypothetical' move by Axl. As regards as the quote I posted, it's from memory because it got deleted from the site where I got it censored. Maybe I shouldn't have used those ' '  for the quote isn't exact  but I wanted to point out this isn't my opinion. Actually I find that comment pretty mean.
I wasn't aware that Aaron's presence among NIN members was the result of Robin's lack of decision...

And? As far as I know, they could be doing acoustic performances only. Or they could all play banjos. Finck returning doesn't necessarily mean a ROCK BAND? performance.

I don't see what the big deal is here.  Hasn't Axl always allowed his members to persue other things when GNR weren't active?  I mean, when Tommy went to do some shows and tour with Soul Asylum, everyone acted the same way as they are now with "Tommy's out of GNR.  Oh my god, Tommy quit., etc".

 Huh

I think the reasons are when Robin went back the last time he said in so many words he was tired of waiting around-I'm not sure if his contract is up, or how much it is, but he is probably looking at a good payday touring with NIN

I think if this is true and Robin is out, I don't think he is someone that can be replaced, he and tommy are the only people from the first show 01/01/01 that are still in the band.  so if Finck is out ... that would suck !

so they survived slash/izzy leaving but cant survive finck?? Huh do some of you realise what you are saying??
