M?TLEY CR?E bassist Nikki Sixx has issued the following update:

"We had a bad-ass show in Tokyo... and there were a ton of cool bands on the bill, but most notably was DUFF McKAGAN'S LOADED.

"So, after running into my friend Richard Stark yesterday, we headed down to a place here in Tokyo and saw Duff play a tiny club... insane. Every song was a 10. I got an EP and it's all I'm listening to right now. If you don't have the EP yet, it's called 'Wasted Heart' and it's a must-have."

DUFF MCKAGAN Says NIKKI SIXX Is 'A Class Act' - Oct. 21, 2008

LOADED, the band formed by current VELVET REVOLVER bassist Duff McKagan (on guitar and vocals) after he left GUNS N' ROSES, has just returned to Los Angeles after playing two shows in Japan ? the Loud Park 08 festival with M?TLEY CR?E, and an intimate headlining show the next night (October 20) at club Quattro in Tokyo.

Commented McKagan: "Nikki Sixx [M?TLEY CR?E bassist] came down to the Quattro show. I've known that guy now for over 20 years and that dude is the real article. Let me tell ya, sometimes the last thing you want to do on a night off on a tour is go out to see another fucking band! Nikki not only came down, but he also stayed for the whole show. A class act."

Former GUNS N' ROSES star DUFF MCKAGAN is a massive fan of British pop band GIRLS ALOUD - and has offered to support the group on an upcoming tour.
The rocker, who now plays bass for Velvet Revolver and sings in his own band Loaded, recently admitted to being a follower of the Biology hitmakers and even got in touch with the girls to offer his backing.
Bandmember Cheryl Cole admits she was shocked to hear from MCKagan - but was flattered when he told her the five-piece could use his band on their next string of live dates.
She tells Attitude magazine, "He offered to give us his band to take with us on tour. I mean Guns N' Roses? What's going on?"
