Seems like some of you didn't pay attention to the date I posted it.

To those who think the idea to even ask the question is stupid, the biggest VR fan site is closing down because of Scott quitting the band.....

/jarmo

That site was formed from a STP fansite.  Same people.  You talking about Rik right?

Jarmo, you will now host the worlds largest GNR forum while housing the Worlds largest VR forum!!  You have a bad ass website and should be proud of your work.  I am glad we keep the VR section, eventhough they are not your favorite band.   ok

Pretty sure Rik built/admin'd each site, fairly sure the VR site ws spawned from belowempty.

ha, Jarmo said the biggest one is shutting down, Rik's site, so all those people will probably end up over here for the time being.  That would make Jarmo's site the largest source of VR and GNR info.

No, the fan site is closing but not their fan forum.

So, don't try to use that excuse.  Tongue

Seriously, Jarmo, it's your site to do what you want with, and this section is probably always been a "thorn in your side".  Personally, I see it as a pretty active little section and VR is, as of today, not done.  Like it or not, the band still exists and, because it's comprised of 3 ex members of GnR, it's still significant.  Also significant because it's probably the first thing any ex GnR member has done that has had any modicum of success.

Trust me, this little section of HTGTH won't be THE place to go for most VR fans.  As most already know, Rik gave the site up because he's more STP - and when Scott was done, Rik went back to giving the STP site more attention.  In my eyes, it wasn't necessarily right, but it was his choice and it was right for him.  The forum, there, does still exist and is still active.

I liked the idea of having a Matt Sorum section. Man can that guy drum?! And he seems so cool and down to earth.

I'd build my house with him in the foundation any day of the week...

I'm guessing this was a joke and that the VR section will stay as is. I mean why move it or delete it if it's not to free up web space or whatever?

Oh and you could maybe make a ex-vr members section where we can discuss Scott and that other guy who sang a song with vr...
