NMe.com reports that Slash, who is good friends with Jimmy Page, has revealed that a LED ZEPPELIN tour is unlikely to occur in the near future.

Speaking to the Daily Star's Playlist, the VELVET REVOLVER guitarist explained that rumors that his own band might be supporting the rock legends on a forthcoming tour had been exaggerated.

"I'm good friends with Jimmy Page so I can tell you once and for all the tour doesn't look like happening any time soon. But who knows, one day?" he said.

"There were rumors VELVET REVOLVER had been asked to support ZEP on a reunion tour," he added. "But those reports were taken out of context."

Speaking of the reunion show LED ZEPPELIN played last December at London's O2 Arena, Slash said: "I heard like literally everybody was there except me. We were in Australia so I missed the gig. I was pretty upset."

Maybe he was in Austria, not Australia, or maybe he was doing something for the new Slash Signature guitars there....

The "we were in" makes it sound like he means the band he's in, VR.

Maybe he just looked at his December 2007 itinerary and figured he had been there without checking with Matt first.....  Wink

wouldn't make any sense if he says "we" and meant perla when he hadn't mentioned anything about her before but he talked about VR, so i'm sure he meant VR when he said we ok

It's actually very funny! I honestly don't know how anyone can believe a word that comes out of his mouth when he doesn't even know where he was just a few months ago.

The problem with the scenario is that IF Zeppelin does tour, it will probably be a world tour, and STP are not a worldly band. Though, possibly, they could get the US leg.

Led Zepp with AC/DC double bill, more my cup of tea.

since people's fantasies are getting wild,

What about rolling stones and Led Zeppelin?

One day festival featuring:

Guns N Roses
AC/DC
The Rolling Stones
Led Zeppelin

I think most agree all 4 of those bands would be in 98% of peoples' top 10 ever.

i thought about lz and rs but sabbath fits better  Smiley

and no it doesn't have anything to do with this section but the latest talk in this thread was one of the deleo brothers talking about reuniting to possibly open for lz, and that deleo brother don't have much to do with vr nor this section Tongue
